Here's the txt that accompanies the image:

How's this for an extreme makeover? Last May, S.H.I.E.L.D. was dismantled after being infiltrated by the terrorist organisation Hydra. Now it's time for Director Couson (Clark Gregg, above) and his team to rebuild and save the day, with a little help from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the former director. Their new headquarters, buried safely underground, in a reconverted SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) bunker from WWII, will be "authentically vintage", says executive producer Jeff Bell. "Of course, Fury has tricked it out with a few updates and a handful of cool toys."

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its second season on September 23rd.

Coulson: "damn. How do I rebuild an organization that was funded with billions of dollars, maybe trillions? I need to find agents I can trust...a lot of agents... I can't just recruit a few dozen guys no I have to bring back SHIELD entirely. No mony, no backers...only support I have is from a sexy British scientist twenetysomething, a sexy half alien (maybe) twenetysomething hacker, a sometimes annoying Irish scientist twenetysomething who's loyalty and inability to see that Ward Hydra [frick] was a traitor was very stupid, a sexy legendary legacy female Shield agent and a big black legacy twenetysomething SHILED agent. What am I gonna do? Actually, I heard Stark is funding work security now. Maybe I'll see how that goes....

A year later...." THat Ultron [frick]ed shit up...way to Stark! Ok so I'm on a budget here... Where can I find cheap place to embroider shield hats and shirts???
Hahah can't wait for season 2 though for real

Hope Coulson's new role has no effect on AoU/Cap 3. Don't wanna be a downer, but I would like this show to get better before any of the films should address it's existence.

Is that the one of the offices from the Agent Carter short?

Since S.H.I.E.L.D. has been effectively terminated and disbanded as an organization, doesn't that mean that the team no longer has any jurisdiction or legal authority, and everything they do at this point is basically vigilanteism? I mean, doesn't Taggart still have orders from the U.S. government to bring them in after the whole Winter Soldier/Hydra thing? Seems to me Nick Fury no longer has any kind of authority to promote anyone to anything after Cap 2, and Coulson new title as director is about as official as a plastic police badge from a cereal box.

I'm confused.

Did anyone watch the Gamecocks get worked over by A&M last night?

Funny how Mizzou and A&M caught up to all that SEC speed in 2 years.

Technically, A&M had caught up year one. Mizzou lost their QB and RB in year one but then was stellar last year.

RIDDLE ME THIS FELLOW CBM PEOPLE, HOW DOES CAP, FALCON, WIDOW, HAWKEYE, STARK AND THOR NOT KNOW ABOUT COULSON????????????????

STARK SHOULD KNOW BECAUSE HE IS STARK.

WIDOW SHOULD KNOW BECAUSE SHE LET OUT ALL THE DIRTY SECRETS ON THE INTERNET.

THOR SHOULD KNOW BECAUSE HIEMDELL SEE'S ALL THINGS IN THE NINE REALMS.

FOR JOSS WHEDON TO MAKE AOU LAGIT HE NEEDS TO EXPLAIN WHERE HAWKEYE WAS AND WHY NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT COULSON. ONE OF MY FEW GRIPES ABOUT AVENGERS IS THAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU WHERE WAR MACHINE WAS.

THEY COULD HAVE HAD WAR MACHINE FLYING BESIDE PEPPERS JET AS PROTECTION AND THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN PERFECT.

PLEASE COMMENT.
AstonishingArachnid
AstonishingArachnid - 8/29/2014, 8:01 AM
@Thorion76 Saying Stark should know cause he's Stark is a dumb excuse. Thor doesn't know because he wouldn't tell Heimdell to look for someone who's dead. Coulson's resurrection wasn't on any official SHIELD files, it was off books with no paper trail. They explained in a tie in comic Rhodey was on a mission in China fighting the Ten Rings.
Tidaltree
Tidaltree - 8/29/2014, 8:03 AM
Stark only has knowledge based on the last time he hacked shield.

Widow has leaked ALL shield secrets? How come there were at least two additional, hidden shield bases then?

If Thor would have asked Heimdall, maybe he'd know.

I agree on the War Machine part, though...
smgmayhem
smgmayhem - 8/29/2014, 8:07 AM
@THORION76 - Warmachine's absence in Avengers is explained in Iron Man 3. The reason no one else knows Coulson is alive is because he actually died, and the evidence of what was done to him was classified and then obliterated when the facility imploded, and serum they gave gave him from the Kree alien has changed him, so to recount: His whereabouts are litterally only known by few since Shield has bit the dust. And Heimdal would not see him because he technically is no longer really Coulson because of the Kree blood. Does that clear things up for you?
MercwithMouth
MercwithMouth - 8/29/2014, 8:09 AM
@THORION76

Please, lose the capslock...

Stark doesn't know because Fury didn't tell him. Nothing about Coulson's resurrection was on any official SHIELD files.

Widow, same reason. Resurrection was not on any SHIELD files, so she didn't release that info.

Thor doesn't know what Heimdall is seeing, because Thor isn't on Asgard at this time. He is on Earth with Jane.

Whedon doesn't HAVE to explain where Hawkeye was, other than maybe a throwaway line about being on a mission. War Machine is government operated, not SHIELD operated, and has no affiliation with the Avengers as of yet.

I hope this helps you out.
