Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

Fired up for this show. It doesn't have to have Iron Man to be great. In Joss we trust.

Is this grif chump a troll or something? All I ever see from this joker are insults to everything.

Find a different hobby guy, this isn't for you.

He's kind of the mascot troll for the site. Like most people on here, don't take anything anyone says too seriously. Never worth it.

Excited for a new show from the Dollhouse team, not so much a SHIELD show, but it could be promising. My ideal marvel show would be heroes for hire.

This show will determine whether I keep my unopened Agent Phil Coulson and Black Widow Hot Toyz. If it sucks, I will sell them. Hope it's good.

I'm more worried that the show is going against Mark Harmon and NCIS than I am that it'll be good or not.

MAC, WD and BB are cable shows, AoS is on broadcast television. The difference in audience size is a plus 3 to 5 million minimum in favor of broadcast tv when talking about a hit show, so yeah, it can and probably will have a larger audience for its premiere, because its more accessible. Maintaining its audience is the hard part.

Grif's kind of humor can go over a person's head easily but his comments along with his avatar makes me laugh out loud----about 98% of the time.

"JOSS WHEDON, head of universally slammed DOLLHOUSE!
JOSS WHEDON, head of 1-season-wonder Firefly!
JOSS WHEDON, writer of box office bomb Buffy the Vampire Slayer with Kristy Swanson
JOSS WHEDON, writer of Alien Resurrection
JOSS WHEDON, writer-director of mega bomb Serenity"

Dollhouse isn't universally slammed. On Metacritic, it has a 57 which is "mixed or average" 15 positive reviews, 7 in the middle range, and 6 negative.

Firefly was well-received by critics and has a very passionate cult fanbase. The show was cancelled because it didn't get a lot of viewers. It would seem that Whedon did his job in creating a good show, so you can't count the show's cancellation against him.

The Buffy movie made $16 million with a $7 million budget. Not really a success but not quite a bomb. It was definitely not a good movie, but the director and the studio reportedly made something that was very different from his original vision.

Alien Resurrection... got me there.

Like Firefly, Serenity was well-received even if it didn't find a large audience. His job was to make a quality movie. Once again, it appears he did his job.

In conclusion, I'm not saying Whedon is perfect, but his record is far from bad.
