Tonight's episode of Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. features the return of Jaimie Alexander, who will be reprising her fan-favorite role as Lady Sif for the fourth time following her appearances in Thor, Thor: The Dark World, and her guest spot in AOS's first season. Marvel has released a new poster announcing her return. We've seen part of the following image before, but check out the full shot of Alexander in character below!

COULSON AND TEAM DISCOVER A LIFE-CHANGING SECRET AS LADY SIF RETURNS, ON "MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D." ON ABC

Jaimie Alexander Guest Stars as Lady Sif

"Who You Really Are" - Coulson and team come to the aid of a confused Lady Sif, who has lost her memory after fighting with a mysterious warrior, whose true mission will send shockwaves through S.H.I.E.L.D. Meanwhile, Bobbi and Mac continue to hide their true mission from everyone close to them, on "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," TUESDAY, MARCH 10 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

After helping to thwart Hydra, Agent Phil Coulson was appointed as Director and tasked with rebuilding the agency. Agent Melinda May, expert pilot, martial artist and longtime friend, will continue to look after Coulson in the wake of the mysterious etchings he's been carving into walls. Grant Ward, highly trained in combat and espionage, was found to be a Hydra mole and a traitor to S.H.I.E.L.D. and locked up away from the world and his former teammates. But this isn't the last we've seen of him... After being left to die in the middle of the ocean by Ward, Agent Leo Fitz, brilliant engineer, and Agent Jemma Simmons, genius bio-chemist, found a way to escape their watery grave. But all did not go well for Fitz, who was left in a coma and may never regain his full cognitive functions; a devastating blow to Simmons. And computer hacker Skye, now a full-fledged S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, discovered her origins as a 0-8-4 — an object of unknown origin — and that her parents were considered "monsters." Could Skye have darkness lying dormant inside of her? Also joining Coulson's core team is Lance Hunter, a dashing mercenary sharp shooter with a quick wit. Since he didn't rise up through the ranks, does he have an ulterior motive for helping out the team.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. features:
Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson
Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May
Brett Dalton as Grant Ward
Chloe Bennet as Skye
Iain De Caestecker as Leopold "Leo" Fitz
Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons
Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill
Nick Blood as Lance Hunter
Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse/Mockingbird
Henry Simmons as Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie

Pathetic: poor girl should have a bigger role in the MCU. Especially in the Thor movies. For her to be wasted in this garbage show is a travesty. This crap show, Arrow and walking dead blow.

Wish she got more screen time in the Thor movies, along with every other major Asgardian character. Marvel really screwed the pooch when it comes to the Thor series and its characters.

EzioKenway1225 - About damn time, Thor needs a movie that's equal to either Iron Man or Captain America The Winter Soldier. His world is just so fascinating and he too is an awesome character. I hope Marvel gets the right director for the job, someone that understands Thor and the world that he lives in.

No more Darcy, no more Jane, no more Selvig!

@EzioKenway1225 Yup. Hopefully 3rd time's the charm.

As much as I'm not a Natalie Portman fan, getting rid of Jane Foster is not a good idea. She's Thor's connection to Earth. She is the main reason he cares about Midgard so much. I don't care if they get rid of Darcy and Selvig, although I'm sure they'll both be in Ragnarok.

As far as Sif goes, I'd love to see more of her and the Warriors Three in Ragnarok. And I'm very much looking forward to her appearance tomorrow night on AoS.

EzioKenway1225 - It's nice to see that there are others that prefer the first Thor over Thor The Dark World.

@MercwithMouth,

Something needs to be done with Jane. The relationship has been pretty weak from the beginning and I cared even less about it in TDW. I'd be happy to see them write an ending for it. I actually wish they broke up in TDW.

At this point, while Jane was his initial connection to Earth, I think we can assume he's bonded with the Avengers and has come to care for Earth as his second home. She's no longer necessary for having Thor return to Earth. Ragnarok would probably be better off to have Thor on Earth for as little as possible anyway. And if his adventures are mainly in the other realms, we don't really need to see him dragging Jane around so she can make a scientific explanation of everything.

I really love Lady Sif. As much as I love her appearances on AOS, I really hope she gets a much bigger role in the next Thor movie. They've utilized her rather poorly, especially in the last one.

Instead of Agent Carter next year (which didn't really resolve anything except saying goodbye to Steve), can we get 8 episodes of Warriors 3? They are pretty badass in the comics. Love Lady Sif in the movies and the last time she was on the show with Mera.

I didn't enjoy The Dark World at all, but then again, I didn't enjoy Guardians either so what do I know...

Lady Sif rules!! I can't wait till tonight!

I saw that in the preview that Colson pointed a gun at her... Foolish mortal.

Ummm... he does know that it can't hurt her doesn't he?

Ha demoted tried to leave marvel and go to DC. DC didn't want her and now she's been demoted to television. Lol

Good thing that they changed her clothes in AOS. That warrior outfit does not blend in (except for THOR ;))
That looks cool!

Yes guest appearances mean you're demoted. I guess Sam Jackson was demoted a couple times last season. I guess when events of the show directly influence the films, it must be a step down.

I really hope they just kill Jane, Darcy and Selvig in Ragnarok, and give Sif a prominent role helping Thor in the movie - to the point where they get together.

Imo, that would save the Thor movies.

Lady Sif was always on the thin side in the comics. The way she was depicted in Walt Simonson's run of Thor is very close to the MCU/AOS. Sif was never a big or muscular warrior. Asgardians don't rely on muscular strength as much as they do they're godly prowess.
elijahgray
elijahgray - 3/10/2015, 5:52 AM
I'm not saying Jamie is perfect for the role(Sif did have hips)...but it's not as big of a deal as Gal Galdot portraying WW, who was traditionally portrayed as being tall and muscular.

I'd love to see a Lady Sif and the Warriors Three TV series. They could highlight their adventures throughout the 9 realms without Thor.

@maximus

She's a good Sif...but let's not say she would be a better WW while also complaining that Gal is too thin. They're both thin. But only one is supposed to play a tall muscular Amazonian warrior.

@soforizo

A soft reboot? Not gonna happen. Yeah, fanboys aren't all that happy with the direction of the Thor movies, but the GA love them. Thor did damn good money for the first movie, and the Dark World did very impressive numbers. They're rated pretty well on most sites, and it's just comic fans that complain about them.

I still want to see a buddy movie in which Sif helps Beta Ray Bill adjust to life on Earth.....with the help of an overcoat and some Groucho Marx nose/mustache prank glasses.

DeusExSponge-thats why they have said Ragnarok is an important film in Pase 3

I call bullshit! If Ragnarok is so important, then why did they move its date? Why did they put it two weeks before Justice League? Why do they still have awful writers Chris Yost and Craig Kyle penning the movie?

You don't need Jane & comic relief crew for Thor to have "incentive" to come to Earth. He's an Avenger now and has enough incentive to be on Earth from time to time.

In fact, there was no need for it in the first movie either! You could have written a thousand ways for Thor to come to Earth.

The best one would have been for Loki to travel to Earth after he learns he's a Frost Giant and tries to turn the planet into a frozen ball of ice using the Casket of Ancient Winters, Thor follows to try and stop him.
