Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

"Why Everyone Hates AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D."
because it has NOTHING with Mavel comic book and superheroes/supervillains. The worst CBM live-action show ever!!! Terrible and annoying characters (ALL!!!), stupid and afwull humour, total-uninteresting plots for series... The one about electro-virus was the stupid thing of the year! It's impossible to watch this crap...

AoS isn't that bad at all. All it needs is time to develop. I mean, the last episode was great. I don't understand all the hate its getting when they've only released 6 episodes.

What? That's the worst response I've seen on here. What are you trying to convey? Of course the show is new, let him talk. People shitted on Arrow last year and I didn't respond at all like an immature fanboy. Let them talk all they want and when the show gets good then you can rub it all over his face. And I like AOS.

So, in the podcast, you guys don't much about who different actors are that are up for comic parts (which you can easily do research on before the podcast), you don't follow the Arrow series, and you say "[frick] art" which comic books seem to be full of.
I'm losing an immense amount of respect for anything that comes out of your mouth.

When and if it gets good, all they will say is "well it's about time" or "this it what it should have been like from the beginning". As of now, they have the right to say it's horrible because it kinda is. I still watch each week and expect it to get better. Just hoping they don't wait till the last episode of the season to pull off a really good episode, then revert back to the same boring stuff next season. lol I'm gonna give it a chance to get better or get cancelled. I will keep watching it hoping it gets better, and if it gets cancelled along the way, then so be it.

I'm continuing to watch AoS but it ain't easy and its hard to argue with the criticism it gets.

It's not that bad, AoS isn't supposed to have super villains and superheroes every week. There's no way a TV show could have the budget to be like a Marvel movie every week. But I hear you on the 90210 actors that are annoying. There's no way Coulson would really choose a team of six 20-something's to save the world.

I don't hate Agents o'SHIELD. It's better than most shows on TV and will pay off huge in the long run.

And at first jarring, the Batffleck will do just fine.

If we're going to compare Arrow and AoS, Arrow had developed a really strong story from the beginning which kept viewers interested despite the not so great acting (which btw has improved a lot). AoS is offering little in the way of any kind of substantial story and major story arc. I want AoS to succeed but they're the main reasons I'm not so captivated. There is potential for improvement though. Early days.

Arrow has a real drive to the story and Oliver doesn't mess around when he decides to take down some bad guys. There's no fluff.

All the events in AoS seem pretty random so far. Also the interrelationship stuff doesn't appeal to me either. Seems fluffy.

Don't like fluff.

For me Agents of Shield might be like the movie Prometheus. I wanted to like it so much that I did at first. Then slowly the reality of the suckage seeped in. AoS still has a chance to redeem itself. Sure hope that happens.

Come on guys you have it all wrong, Agents of Something is awesome. They are setting up something big and it is great how many times we get to hear about Avengers, and New York. And I one week we get a tie in to Thor the Dark World.

Anyways the show is just meh!!!!! To me it is a vehicle to be a shameless plug for all the movies.

People say they think Arrow is so much superior to AoS because its developed its mythology, Arrow is on s2 AoS is only 6 episodes into a 22 episode season. Some people just like to complain, thats all there is to it
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 11/12/2013, 7:07 AM
@ Killersloth

The difference is most people (not all people) got hooked on a good story line with Arrow by episode 4 or 5. As for it was around episode 5 where I thought Arrow hit its stride.

I think where Arrow has done well is actually includes story lines or characters from the comics. I o not mean a 3 to 5 minute cameo.

It's got no point and is dragging everything down.

@JoeMomma29 fair enough, i really think AoS has started to find its footing now, especially after that last episode. And how many episodes were written before the show started? Now the writers have seen what people like and are interested by and can mold the show to that.

Its just the constant bashing that gets on my nerves, "oh its not perfect yet? Then destroy it all!" kinda thing ha

So many cry baby twats on this site it's sickening. While the shows ratings have dropped consistently they're still good ratings for a new show. Bulletin, It's not going anywhere. Joss said from day one that the show was not going to be about the supers in the Marvel U but the regular Joe's and how they dealt with this new world. We knew this going in.
Battabing
Battabing - 11/12/2013, 7:29 AM
@marcvader1

How is it a "new world" when they've been dealing with this shit since WWII.
The big mistake is trying to feed off the movies. It makes it hard for AoS to find an identity.
