Luke Cage Season 2 gave us a Heroes for Hire-style team-up with Danny Rand. However, that Netflix era of Marvel Television stopped short of embracing the concept of Power Man and Iron Fist combining superhero protection and private investigation work for money.
There have been rumblings about a Heroes for Hire Special Presentation being in the works for Disney+, and Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 can quite easily set the stage for that.
GamesRadar+ caught up with actor Finn Jones at New York Comic Con, and he seemingly confirmed that we will see the Heroes for Hire in the MCU—or at least a "glimpse" of that—when the Defenders reunite next Spring.
"It's weird. I've never been a part of a cast where the chemistry is just so innate, not only with the actors but also the way the characters interact with each other. It's special. The Defenders are special," Jones shared. "The more they can flesh that out, the more the fans are gonna be happy because the fans really want it."
"Especially between me and Mike and Heroes for Hire," he added. "Something like that, I know people are desperate for. We'll get a glimpse of that maybe in season 3 of Daredevil."
The prospect of seeing Luke Cage and Iron Fist finally embrace their comic book counterparts' Heroes for Hire hustle is an exciting one, particularly given how much time has passed since their Netflix shows ended. We know that Cage was forced to work for Mr. Charles and the CIA at some point, but Daredevil: Born Again can finally reunite with him with Danny and set the stage for an exciting future for these two.
"I think the scenes with Danny and Luke are some of the best scenes we have in the series," Mike Colter said of sharing the screen with Jones in 2017. "You've seen the trailer so you've seen the fist in my face. There's some cool stuff in there. It's a good dynamic."
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3's cast includes Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Clark Johnson as Cherry, and Matthew Lillard as Mr. Charles.
Krysten Ritter, meanwhile, will return as Jessica Jones, alongside Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, and Elodie Yung as Elektra Natchios.
The series is expected to return to Disney+ next March.
