Sigourney Weaver's mysterious
Defenders villain, Alexandra, has a connection to all four heroes according to
Luke Cage actor Mike Colter. But what do you think that connection could be? Does that mean "Alexandra" was a backer for IGH and the inmate experiments at Seagate? It's clear from the first
Defenders trailer that she's a businesswoman of some repute, perhaps she owned the company transporting the the chemical waste that blinded a young Matt Murdock? Is it possible that she's incredibly long-lived like Madame Gao and hails from one of the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven?
Whatever the connection may be, Colter says you can expect answers when all episodes of
The Defenders air roughly three months from now.
"
The villains that we’re dealing with are a combination of several entities, um, and they all have something to do with our separate stories that have played out in each of our own individual series. So this has been going on for a while. It wasn’t obvious in each individual series, but in this series you’ll find out that the things that happened to all of us basically were all because of one entity and that’s what’s gonna kind of tie things together and then we’ll see that, we’ll understand that, and before you know it, eventually we’ll fight together... or not."
