After being a critical centerpiece in
Captain America: Winter Soldier and
Captain America: Civil War, Bucky Barnes has (understandably) faded to the background a bit given the cosmic-level threat of Thanos and the Black Order. However, that'll change post-
Endgame, with the release of the character's Disney+ series which will co-star Anthony Mackie's Falcon.

The one from Wakanda has a couple more features that we haven’t explored yet. So I think I like that one, but I miss the old star. I do. There was something about that. I don’t know, maybe I’ll have to get it back."
Given the technical prowess of Wakanda and the gifted mind of Shuri, it makes perfect sense that some extra gadgetry would be included in Bucky's arm.
Aside from the fact that it's nearly indestructible, what else do you think Buck's arm is capable of? Perhaps it can produce a
Captain America-esque energy shield? The
Black Panther movie already proved that Wakanda has that technology.
