THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Footage Description Reveals Some New Details About The Disney+ Series

Earlier today, footage from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was shown to Disney investors, and we now have a description which sheds some light on what exactly we can expect from the upcoming TV series!

Earlier today, former Disney CEO Bob Iger shared some new details and footage from a plethora of upcoming projects from the studio. Among them was The Falcon and The Winter Soldier (which is expected to arrive on Disney+ this August), and thanks to Laughing Place, we now have a description about what that first look footage contained!

It reportedly kicked off with Bucky paying a visit to Zemo in some sort of state of the art prison and, in a typically villainous fashion, he tried to activate The Winter Soldier's programming. That failed thanks to the work of T'Challa and his team of scientists in Wakanda, and during this conversation, Bucky reportedly mentions that someone has recreated the Super Soldier Serum.

A clip was also shown of John Walker's Captain America entering the stadium we saw in the sneak peek during the Super Bowl, but even more interesting is a "montage of action sequences included Zemo fighting in his iconic mask from the comics."

Finally, it's said that they "saw Bucky approach Sam Wilson and discussed that they’re not really friends. More like two guys who had a mutual friend who now need each other." However, something tells us that by the time all is said and done in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, these two could finally become firm friends and allies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Either way, it sounds like a recent Reddit leak about the pilot episode was accurate based on this information, and the fact the Super Soldier Serum has finally been perfected could be a game-changer for this shared world...especially if Sam Wilson ultimately decides to take it.

What do you guys think?

I think it sounds dope. I wonder what exactly Bucky wants with zemo. Maybe he knows who’s after the serum. This show is really getting more and more intriguing. We still haven’t seen Sam’s cap suit

@Battabing - From the comments, I thought it was a bloodbath, but nearly 40% ain't so bad by RT standards.

Ain't so bad for a Vin Diesel Bloodshot movie, I mean. That's ghastly if people were expecting it to actually be good.

@Polaris - i can't really buy that concept that they are not friends... they clearly were friends trying to get away from Spiderman in the airport scene of CW and when Steve went off to return the stones in EG. i could on the other hand see that the government thinks they are not friends... and that bucky has friend issues in general due to his programming... but falcon is a perfect match for bucky. falcon helps to ease the transition of those returning from war and bucky is returning to the world from being a programmed killing machine.

@JonC - What?? Clearly friends running away from Spidey? That scene ends with Falcon saying “I hate you”. Bucky also tried to kill him multiple times (regardless of the whole WS thing).

They’ve only been in proximity to each other because of Steve.

@DaHyro - lol you have to wonder if some people actually take in anything from these movies other than the action. Who on earth would think Bucky and Sam are friends at this point on the MCU.

Of course I’m sure they will grow to be friends in the Disney plus show eventually. That will be part of their character arcs.

"...Bucky reportedly mentions that someone has recreated the Super Soldier Serum. "

Bucky going to Zemo about this makes me think that the source of US Agent's serum/powers comes from those dead Winter Soldiers in Siberia. In fact, I bet Thunderbolt or whoever else had a hand in Zemo's incarceration made a deal with him on information regarding where to find the Winter Soldiers in exchange for some sort of clemency or perks.

I thought it might have been the serum Ross had back when he injected Blonsky, but after that debacle I am sure the govt shut all that down. The serum definitely wont be perfected. What makes Cap so special was that Erskine created the orignal, perfect serum for the perfect candidate.

US Agent goes crazy in the comics and we saw in Civil War how those Winter Soldiers went a little berserk from the serum they were given. I'm guessing Walker will go insane just as they did.

Fitting. Solid place to start and build their bond.

Will we see Falcon get a serum by the end of the series?? I'm excited to see what happens.

@sKeemAn - I think he ultimately will turn down the serum and continue being Falcon / retire.

@L0RDbuckethead - definitely not retire. He’ll just be his own version of CA which I’m sure is his arc to learn what it means to be CA and embrace it

Hopefully, the retooling of the original plot and shooting locations because of the coronavirus doesn't diminish the quality of the show.
