The first two episodes of Marvel Studios' final Disney+ series of 2021, Hawkeye, are now streaming, and star Hailee Steinfeld has taken to social media to mark the occasion.

The Academy Award-nominated True Grit actress takes on the role of Kate Bishop, Clint Barton's (Jeremy Renner) eager protege and (most likely) the next hero to take up the Hawkeye mantle in the MCU. Steinfeld shared a behind-the-scenes photo from her first day of filming, while thanking fans for their support.

"Taken on the first day of filming following an overly excited freak out, similar to the one taking place as I type this," she captioned her post. "To the fans of the MCU, I’m so grateful I get to be a part of your world as Kate Bishop and I can’t wait for you to watch it all unfold."

Steinfeld was forced to keep her involvement with the show secret for a long time after initial casting reports did the rounds, so it must be nice for her to finally be able to embrace her role as The MCU's newest crime-fighter.

"Set in post-blip New York City, former Avenger Clint Barton has a seemingly simple mission: get back to his family for Christmas. Possible? Maybe with the help of Kate Bishop, a 22-year-old archer with dreams of becoming a Super Hero. The two are forced to work together when a presence from Barton’s past threatens to derail far more than the festive spirit."

Also starring Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, Fra Fee, Zahn McClarnon, and Brian d’Arcy James, Hawkeye is now streaming on Disney+. Have you guys checked out the first two episodes yet? If so, what did you think? Be sure to drop us a comment down below.

I was surprised how Kate centric the episodes were but I like how they found a way to being Kate into all of this as well as have Clint deal with his dealings as ronin.

I wonder how Fontaine deduced ronins identity but not anyone else

@MyCoolYoung - completely forgot about Val (and thus by extent Yelena). Guess we'll get some answers to that when they meet

@bkmeijer - yea I hope we do. I just don’t want the storylines to be all over the place. These first two episodes was pretty cool and focused

@MyCoolYoung - aside from the opening of which I'm not sure how well the timeline meets up, it is a pretty tight show. If it stays this consistent, I'm gonna enjoy it a lot

Nice to see someone appreciate the MCU, and not go "Oh, I'm so above that" in Hollywood.

So are we all in agreement that the first scene of the second act of Rogers: The Musical is the "Star Spangled Man With a Plan" USO show from the first movie, right?
