HAWKEYE Star Jeremy Renner Says He Will "Never Watch" AVENGERS: ENDGAME Again

Hawkeye is set to premiere on Disney+ tomorrow, and star Jeremy Renner has been doing the press rounds to promote Marvel Studios' latest MCU-set miniseries. The actor was asked about his last appearance as Clint Barton in Avengers: Endgame during an interview with BBC Radio, and his response might surprise you.

Renner revealed that he's actually only seen the movie once, and says he'll never watch it again - but not because he didn't like it!

Endgame marked the conclusion of the franchise's Infinity Saga, and featured several highly emotional moments. In one of the film's most heartbreaking scenes, Barton was forced to watch his friend and teammate Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johannsson) make the ultimate sacrifice so that he could acquire the Soul Stone and undo Thanos' universe-altering decimation.

"I saw it at the premiere, but that was just something to celebrate for all of us.," Renner said, suggesting that seeing the film was an emotional rollercoaster for the entire cast. "We were laughing and weeping and it was a lot to do. I’ll never watch that again... it was a difficult experience. We were all just a sobbing mess and we’re laughing. It’s amazing, we were like audience members and that was awesome to experience. I mean, that was a lovely, beautiful experience to share."

Hawkeye will address Barton's guilt over Black Widow's death while bringing him face-to-face with Nat's vengeance-driven sister, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh). So, Renner may find it just as difficult to re-watch this show once the six-episode season reaches its conclusion!

@TheWalkingCuban - I think I've only watched it twice straight through. Probably five times breaking it down over a few nights.

@TheWalkingCuban - I was one of those who saw it 8 times in theaters, I may have burned myself out on it cuz I haven't seen it since.

@TheWalkingCuban - I don’t know man. I’m somewhere around 50 or so, 7 in theaters. Had to take a day from work just to procure 19 opening night tickets (huge MCU group, culminating showing and all that)

@TheWalkingCuban - Me either ... Until I left my brain out and stopped thinking logically. It was all rainbows and flowers after that!

And I am not kidding 😜

One of these days I’ll rewatch the Infinity Saga in order, that’s probably the only way I’ll watch Endgame again.

I’ve seen Infinity War about a dozen times though 👌🏽

@Cbmfilmjunkie - I've seen Infinity War 15 times, 8 of which were at the cinema.

Love that film.

@Cbmfilmjunkie - Infinity War is far better than Endgame and is my 2nd favorite MCU film, right behind Winter Soldier.

@CorndogBurglar - you have good taste. I thought endgame was a snooze.

@Shivermetimbers - I just thought it was poorly written and I don't think they should have used time travel. It was kind of a cop out solution.

@CorndogBurglar - I go Civil War, with Endgame and IW tied for second. Thor: TDW 3 through 25th

@Cbmfilmjunkie - Infinity War is the best Avengers/Event film. Going to be hard to top, especially as a Starlin die hard.

@PartyBoy - Lol, that has nothing to doo with Jeremy Renner's Mayor of Kingstown :D

But yeah, Mare is my favorite non-cbm tv show this year so far.

Mr. Boner was great.

That was the last Marvel movie with soul. Sure we’ve hade Marvel movies after that but they were just generic stories with just a mess of CGI. I miss Chris Evans and RDJ.
