Marvel's INHUMANS: Come Get Your First Official Look At Black Bolt, Medusa, & The Royal Family
Following that official teaser poster on Tuesday, Marvel Entertainment has officially released a first look cast photo of Black Bolt and his Royal Family assembled and ready for action. Come check it out!
After essentially scrapping indefinitely postponing their 2019 Inhumans movie, Marvel surprised nearly everyone last November with the announcement of a live-action television series based on Black Bolt and his Royal Family.
Hot on the heels of Tuesday's teaser poster, Entertainment Weekly has released our first look at the principal cast assembled along with a lengthy interview with showrunner Scott Buck (Iron Fist), who shares a ton of juicy details on the highly ambitious superhero project.
Among the things revealed, it's been confirmed the series will take place on both Earth and in Attilan, but that the technologically advanced city won't actually be on Earth when the series starts, which could mean a trip to the moon is in the cards. Additionally, while we've known that the family drama series would center on the internal power struggle between Black Bolt and his brother Maximus, Buck teases that the show will deviate from the comic source material to some extent as they had more room to further develop their characters.
Pictured from left-to-right: Eme Ikwuakor (Concussion) as Gorgon, Ken Leung (Rush Hour) as Karnak, Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan (Smallville) as Medusa, Isabelle Cornish (Puberty Blues) as Crystal, and Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones) as Maximus.

The series will exclusively debut in IMAX screens on September 1 with a special two-episode premiere and will then run for two weeks before making its way to ABC on September 26 for an eight-episode first season. "The first two episodes feel like a movie, because [using IMAX] gave us a lot more freedom and encouraged us to think bigger than we would if it was just a normal network show."
