IRON FIST Star Finn Jones Hopes To Return As Danny Rand For HEROES FOR HIRE With Luke Cage

While Finn Jones' take on Danny Rand wasn't exactly embraced by fans, the actor certainly tried his best with the material he was given. Iron Fist just wasn't a very good TV show and despite improvement during its second season, that cancellation wasn't met with the same backlash as Daredevil, for example.

The character's MCU future remains uncertain, but with Charlie Cox returning to that world as the Man Without Fear, it sounds like Jones hopes he could be next.

Talking to ComicBook.com, the actor said, "I would love to continue playing that character. I think there's a lot of room for growth. Personally, where I would like to see the reintroduction of the character would be something like a Heroes for Hire TV series. I think that would be the most dynamic and fun way to reintroduce those characters."

"I loved working with Mike [Colter] and I loved the on-screen chemistry between Danny and Luke. I think it's a really interesting creative place that show can be taken in," Jones continues. "I'd love to pick up that mantle again and keep moving this character forward and make the best possible Iron Fist there could be."

It's baffling that Marvel Television and Netflix never moved forward with a proper Heroes for Hire spinoff as it was clear from the start that it was something fans wanted. Iron Fist and Luke Cage did cross paths, but not in any meaningful way, so here's hoping Marvel Studios changes that down the line.

If they do, it's unclear whether it will involve Jones and Colter, though it doesn't sound like the former is looking to suit up. "I'd like to try it on, but I don't know if that's something that would really resonate that well," he tells the site. "I like the mask as well, the mask that we had in those K'un-Lun flashbacks. I thought that was really cool. But yeah, something a bit more gritty and urban, I think that feels right."

If Iron Fist does return, it's fair to say most fans would want to see him in the costume. Regardless, we're not banking on Jones or Danny being part of the MCU for a while yet, though the best possible place to reintroduce the hero would no doubt be in the Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings sequel.

What are your hopes for Iron Fist on screen moving forward?
