IRONHEART Set Photos Reveal Riri Williams' Armor And Anthony Ramos As [SPOILER]

The first photos from the set of Marvel Studios' Ironheart Disney+ series have been shared online, giving us a look at Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) in her prototype armor, & Anthony Ramos' in-costume.

Cameras are now rolling on Marvel Studios' Ironheart Disney+ series in Atlanta, Georgia, and thanks to Just Jared, we have some revealing photos from the set.

If you'd rather not know who certain actors are playing, spoilers from this point on.

The snaps give us a first look at Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams, who appears to be have created her prototype suit by repurposing the Iron Patriot armor. If the previous MCU Disney+ shows are any indication, she'll debut a version of her signature pink and yellow costume before the end of the season.

Perhaps more interestingly, the photos also feature Anthony Ramos, and it looks like the In The Heights actor is playing The Hood! In the comics, Parker Robbins was a petty thief who gained some rather odd abilities after an encounter with a demon. The creature's boots gave him the power to levitate, while the cloak allowed him to turn invisible when he held his breath.

We've previously heard that Ramos' character will debut in a "similar way to how Jonathan Majors was introduced as Kang The Conqueror in Loki." He is expected to not only have a big part in this series, but in future Marvel projects as well.

Check out the photos at the link below.

Sam Bailey (Brown Girls) and Angely Barnes (Mythic Quest) were recently announced as directors, and have reportedly been enlisted to helm at least one episode a piece. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler will executive produce via his Proximity production company.

We still don't know a whole lot about Ironheart, but the series is expected to stick pretty closely to Riri's comic book origin as "the creator of the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man." There's also been some speculation that the character could be ret-conned as a Wakandan since she'll also appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Looks a lot like Iron Man to me. I guess they are replacing Tony Stark with her.

Sigh.

@SpaceParanoids - stupid ass comment. Legacy characters aren't replacements

@SpaceParanoids - Of course they are replacing Iron Man. What else would you expect. It’s the MSheU after all.

Vigor - 8/8/2022, 5:37 PM
@SpaceParanoids - it states right in this article that it's the repurposed iron patriot armor. You read that right?
Origame
Origame - 8/8/2022, 5:44 PM
@SpaceParanoids - might be the iron man suit she stole. Yes, that's really part of her origin.
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 5:44 PM
@DCasAhobby - Legacy character? Her role was not passed down to her from Tony Stark. She is replacing Stark.

She was also in 12 issues of her own comic book and it was cancelled because it was that unpopular.
That’s in and of itself is not any kind of legacy.
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 5:46 PM
@Origame - I know she stole a suit. Does she really have to replace Iron Man. Why not create a new character?
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 5:46 PM
@Vigor - Oh I read it. It doesn’t make it any better.
Origame

@SpaceParanoids - no I agree. I said that because I don't like iron heart from a conceptual level.
SpaceParanoids

@Origame - Oh, okay. I’m right there with you. I wish they would stop repurposing heroes and create new heroes.

@SpaceParanoids - all i'll say is only a handful of unfourtunets actully believe she is replacing IM.
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 5:52 PM
@DCasAhobby - You don’t have to believe it. You can see it with your own eyes and seeing is believing

And I’m quite sure it’s a lot more than just a handful.

@DCasAhobby - bruh, I don't think you understand what a legacy character is. It literally is a replacement. That's literally what the point of a legacy is, hence the legacy part. If there was no legacy, it would just be a new original character. The legacy part literally is the replacement part. It's just a fancy way of disguising the fact that it's an obvious replacement. Only fools get tricked by the word play, but it apparently worked on you. Lol

Please, explain to me how legacy characters work and don't use the words replace or mantle or pass down or inherit or becomes the new or takes over or uses the same.

@SpaceParanoids - You say it like they wouldn’t keep Downey around forever if they could’ve. He wanted out. I bet you wouldn’t mind if that kid from Iron Man 3 put on the suit you wouldn’t have an issue though.
OmegaBlack13
OmegaBlack13 - 8/8/2022, 6:20 PM
@Origame - I mean there’s precedent for that. Ant-Man, Batman Beyond, I think both Jason Todd and Tim Drake both initially took Robin suits without permission.

@TheSuperMex - Lmao I know right??? Like how do they say it without a hint of irony 😂 god I can’t wait to hear someone say it in person

@TheVandalore - whatever bro. Bottom line is he was trolling with that stupid ass comment.

Riri Willaims is not running the MCU like IM did. To me that's what it means to replace him. She'll get a her show, a few cameos and a spot on the Young Avengers. That is all.

It's actully obvious.
Origame
Origame - 8/8/2022, 6:31 PM
@OmegaBlack13 - the difference is that in all those cases they stole for selfless reasons. Riri stole because she wanted to stick it to her racist teacher (who wasn't even really being racist mind you).
TheVandalore
TheVandalore - 8/8/2022, 6:33 PM
@DCasAhobby - "stupid ass comment. Legacy characters aren't replacements"

Gets 21 likes at the time of this comment.

Oh, the irony. This is why likes on this site mean nothing. There are lot of stupid sheep on here lmfao

Legacy characters are literally replacements hahaha

"whatever bro. Bottom line is he was trolling with that stupid ass comment."

@DCasAhobby - Dude its like a script. its like clockwork these clowns come out of the woodwork. we all know why this person and others bitching are have an issue with her character. its obvious.
TheSuperMex
TheSuperMex - 8/8/2022, 6:45 PM
@OmegaBlack13 - the funny thing is that these guys are grown men in their 40s or 50s saying this cringe shit. It makes me think they have women issues.
TheSuperMex
TheSuperMex - 8/8/2022, 6:46 PM
@Origame - nah, the difference is she is female and they are male. That’s the only reason.
Origame
Origame - 8/8/2022, 7:07 PM
@TheSuperMex - oh, sorry. Must've missed the issue of Jason Todd wanting his teacher to be a bigot so he can prove her wrong in a field he wasn't interested in in the first place. And apparently Terry McGinnis stole the suit just for the sake of being batman as opposed to stopping murderous criminals. /s
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 7:49 PM
@TheSuperMex - Are you okay?

Oh that’s right….you’re the one who calls everyone racist.
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 7:52 PM
@OmegaBlack13 - Actually I thought that kid from Iron Man 3 was a dumb choice and I would have been pretty disappointed if he would have put on the suit.

However if they waited a few more years and Morgan Stark wore the suit and carried on her Dad’s legacy I would have been very happy with that.

Oh wait, We’re you trying to imply that I was sexist?
Well how embarrassing for you.
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 7:55 PM
@DCasAhobby - She doesn’t have to lead the MCU to replace Iron Man. She just has to become Iron Man….and she is.

If she isn’t replacing Iron Man, and I am so wrong then why are you so upset?
Gizmoduck
Gizmoduck - 8/8/2022, 7:56 PM
@OmegaBlack13 - I don't think anybody would have a problem with using that kid since that kid was number one already built up in 2 ways- number 1 being in IM3 and Endgame cameo. number 2 being usable as iron lad since we are getting kang. where riri is literally just showing up and saying o hi I'm the new iron man stand in in BP3 then getting her own show. She's a garbage character that should have been added after iron lad and not made to be so important. If they make her a gender swapped iron lad(lass) I'll be fine with it. Otherwise boo.
SpaceParanoids
SpaceParanoids - 8/8/2022, 7:57 PM
@supermanrex - Being that RiRi Willams was an incredibly unpopular character in the comics and had her series cancelled after only 12 issues, yes we clearly have an issue with this unpopular character.
DCasAhobby
DCasAhobby - 8/8/2022, 7:58 PM

I will no longer be talking to butthurt, jealous marvel haters.

Ryguy88
Ryguy88 - 8/8/2022, 8:43 PM
@DCasAhobby - her own show, avengers movies and cameos...you just listed off way more than a character with her popularity level would normally be entitled to.

Thats basically what Daredevil will be getting.
