IRONHEART Will Serve As A "Direct Sequel" To BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER - Mild SPOILERS

Riri Williams is set to make her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and producer Nate Moore has now confirmed that the upcoming Ironheart series will be a "direct sequel" to Ryan Coogler's movie.

We've known for a while now that Dominique Thorne will make her MCU debut as Riri Williams in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but there are still some lingering questions relating to the reasons for her introduction and how she'll factor into the movie's plot.

All will be revealed this Friday when Wakanda Forever hits theaters, but we will say that Miss Williams does have a bigger part to play than you might expect, and it sounds like her role in Ryan Coogler's sequel will directly lead-into her upcoming Ironheart Disney+ series.

While speaking to CinemaBlend, producer Nate Moore revealed how the idea for the Ironheart show first came about.

Moore doesn't reveal any major details here, but some might consider his comments to be mildly spoiler-y.

"That show is an outgrowth of how much we liked her in this movie and even on the page. So, when we talked with [Dominique Throne] initially, obviously the character had been written to the script and she was the one and only person we talked about for the role. When she said yes and we were down the road with the script, we also started talking with [Ryan Coogler] about what the show could be."

"So, the show is a direct sequel to the movie," he continued. "And [Riri Williams] is carrying the experiences she had in this movie back home to MIT. And there are some interesting repercussions to her adventures that will set her on a fun course."

Ironheart is definitely shaping up to be a more mystical affair than Wakanda Forever, as Riri is set to face off with the demonic Hood and possibly even Mephisto himself. With that in mind, it'll be very interesting to see how the film lays the groundwork for the show.

Hey @TyrantBossMedia, let's have an adult conversation. Can you explain to me and others why you have a thing against gender (and sometimes race) swapping? Let's peel the layers. What EXACTLY is the problem? Is there a fear that some race or some gender will dominate the world and imprison the white male? I'm curious to know what the fear is, or why the incel bannermen have risen their proverbial war flags. I just refuse to visit the reddit boards because then the algorithms will think I care to see more of it.

Just educate me here, if you will?

@Vigor - Writes, "let's have an adult conversation"

Then proceeds to name call, attempt insults, and draw conclusions with his implications.

Son, You are incapable of an adult conversation. You and many others her like you just can't handle that someone dares to not share your same point of view.
You admitted it yourself. In a previous response you wrote "Marvel brings me joy" so you already have a preestablished opinion and are unable to look subjectively at the Marvel films.

We (myself and others) have made our points explicitly clear regarding Disney/Marvel's Agenda....as have Disney/Marvel. We have posted numerous examples and cited their own internal communications as supporting documentation.
But your ploy is you keep asking the question because you just want to try to make yourself feel important and you're hoping someone will say something on which you can latch onto so you can spew more of your childish and petulant name calling like "intel bannermen" or "racist" or "troll".

You don't want answers. You just want to make yourself feel more self-righteous.

And what's funny is with a few simple words I can trigger you with really no effort.

You guys have made this so easy for years.

@Vigor - You are using the goodwill earned by others unjustly instead of creating new characters whose provenance is uniquely their own and who are better tailored to them.

@TyrantBossMedia - You aren’t allowed to question the Disney/Marvel gods. They are only making movies to make people feel good and included. They aren’t interested in money, sure they make it, but that’s not why they do it. They do it for us, and are only trying to make the world a better place. There’s no taking advantage of a tragedy, and using it to sell a movie, while trying to make themselves look like they actually care. DC and Sony are the devil and only care about money and greed, and don’t care about us.

@TyrantBossMedia - I actually didn't realize incel would be offensive to you. Your comments come off like the textbook definition of one, so I thought perhaps it would be a badge of honor for you. I truly wanted a mature explanation. I guess using the word intelligence derailed that (?)

Since you didn't respond in kind, I'll address someone who did give an explanation @JDL
It's pretty clear that most of these fictional characters were created by white men FOR white men. There was very little diversity in color, race, religions, or even gender. It didn't represent the world we live in. Diversifying now is an attempt to correct the wrongs of the past.

In some instances I agree rhat swapping in any way can be detrimental to the original vision of the character however

@Vigor - In addition to your vocabulary your comprehension too is clearly lacking. I clearly said you are "attempting" to insult me....which means you are failing.

Clearly your comprehension also prohibited you from noticing or understand what I already wrote:

"We (myself and others) have made our points explicitly clear regarding Disney/Marvel's Agenda....as have Disney/Marvel. We have posted numerous examples and cited their own internal communications as supporting documentation."

It's either a comprehension issue or that you are intentionally trying to be obtuse.
Either way it's not working for you.

Vigor - 11/7/2022, 2:25 PM
@TyrantBossMedia - you're getting peeved but not actually answering my question. Let me put it another way. Heres a hypothetical--- BOOM ok there's an agenda. Disney puts it on the 6 o clock news and admits it in shareholder meetings. They make it super public for all to see. This a big hoorah about it and now we have to sit with that information.

Now my question is, WHY does it offend you? What in that agenda wakes you up every day to post on this site, actively (relentlessly) crusading against it.

That's all I'm asking. I've asked 3 times now and every time you say I'm insulting you. Then you copy n paste your statement about cited examples proving an agenda. I don't care whether there is an agenda or not. I want to peel the onion and find out why is that agenda bad.
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 11/7/2022, 2:30 PM
@Vigor - Nope, I’m not peeved at all. Clearly you are projecting your own anger onto me.

Disney’s agenda was already revealed via the leak of their internal zoom call and reported in numerous articles.
And I have already explained what is wrong with overtly injecting your political agenda into movie making.

I have mentioned it numerous times on this site.

Vigor - 11/7/2022, 2:32 PM
@TyrantBossMedia - k guess I'll catch it next time you post it. And then maybe then you'll be in the mood to elaborate on why it offends you so much, since somehow diversity is now being politicized
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 11/7/2022, 3:11 PM
@Vigor - Oh I never once said it offends me. That’s something else that you have errantly implied.

And yes, Disney admitted that they are politicizing diversity.
Perhaps you should look up their leaked zoom call and what they themselves call their “gay agenda” for starters.

@Vigor - I don't think race/gender actually bothers people like that, more like the attention it garners excites them. I could be wrong. But arguing with people you see as wrong or lesser is satisfying regardless of the subject.

That said, I can see how a huge media success like Marvel being all white dudes could make someone feel like it was made for them. Then having it all change stresses them out? Ironically women and people of color just want to feel like they have something made for them too.

But see, this is you everytime you come into an article like this. You wait for it so you can latch onto it and spew your childish and petulant "M-She-U". Do you really think that argument is nuanced or mature? It seems your whole point is to "trigger" people, or without the buzzwords, just cause shit.

What do you actually get out of coming in here and writing "M-She-U" and what do you think it actually adds to the conversation?
TyrantBossMedia
TyrantBossMedia - 11/7/2022, 4:06 PM
@UncleHarm1 - Nope, That has nothing to do with it.
It’s actually disrespectful to minorities to tokenize characters instead of Marvel actually taking the time to develop new and current minority characters that are truly unique.
Stop and ask why Marvel does that? Why they tokenize or gender swap?
The answer is because they don’t, for some reason, believe that a organically minority or female character can carry a movie or show on their own.
And that is disrespectful and I would find it insulting.

Look at Sam Wilson. He was a truly organic character in the MCU and the comics. He was fleshed out and developed. And we loved his character, but then Marvel couldn’t just further develop Falcon, an organically black hero. They had to tokenize Captain America temporarily because they couldn’t think of how else to further develop Falcon.
Not only that then they make him an “angry black man” in FATWS which is totally opposite the character that had been developed for nearly 10 years on the MCU. It’s stereotyping and insulting to the character that Mackie and the filmmakers had worked so hard to develop.

Marvel is using minorities and women to also create critical armor. Once they feature someone from those groups they can write a substandard product as they have throughout Phase 4, and ANY criticism of that product featuring someone from those groups Marvel can cry racism or sexism or homophobia. Then use that to deflect away from the fact that their product is simply bad.

I have explained this countless times here as have others and for some reason certain people just don’t get it or don’t want to see it for some reason.
Perhaps they don’t want to and prefer to be blind to how Marvel is using women and minorities instead of growing and developing their characters.

There are SO many just black heroes and they are nowhere to be found In the MCU. Why? Why introduce Ironheart whose comic was cancelled after only 12 issues yet we don’t see Doctor Voodoo or we still don’t have a proper MCU Luke Cage who is amazing, or Bishop or Blue Marvel or Night Thrasher or so many others?

Why are those of you who love to imply that others are racist also don’t care that so many great black and minority heroes are shelved while white characters are continually tokenized?
But we “racists” want to see those characters developed.

And don’t get me started on the great female characters who are given a similar treatment.

Now I’ll wait as you try to twist what I wrote to spin it into some closeted form of racism…that’s inevitable from you who bow to Marvel.

@JDL - spot on
Spike101
Spike101 - 11/7/2022, 4:53 PM
@TyrantBossMedia - absolutely agree. They seem to think that the character will be popular mainstream if they insert them into the existing shell of a major character such as Captain America or Ironman rather than use existing characters yet to be introduced like as you say Luke Cage. And to me at least moderating one of the biggest MCU Facebook group it seems nobody is fooled by it or actually likes. Just weird. I guess one of the issues is that despite trying the current or more recent writers have failed to introduce new characters that stand the test of sales like as you say Ironheart. Let’s face it Stan, Jack and Steve had amazing imaginations.
