Loki season 2 is almost here and excitement for the "Certified Fresh" series - thanks to an impressive 83% score on Rotten Tomatoes - continues to build among fans.
Marvel Studios is only releasing a single episode to kick the season off with, though critics were allowed to watch four of six instalments prior to its debut (meaning you should start being careful about encountering spoilers in certain corners of the internet). Today, though, we're keeping things spoiler-free.
Post-credits scenes have become a staple of MCU storytelling, and while it's more commonplace for finales to boast a little something extra, we know many of you are curious about whether tomorrow's episode features any surprise stingers.
Well, we can confirm that yes, Loki's season 2 premiere does feature a post-credits scene.
That's all we're going to share for now, but rest assured it's one you'll definitely want to stick around for. It's no secret that the first episode will pick up right where the season 1 finale left off and this scene - which comes right in the middle of the credits - answers another big mystery.
"A masterclass in imaginative storytelling, Loki season 2 is the MCU at its best," we said in our review, "and a riveting new chapter in the Multiverse Saga that’s mind-bending, monumental, and utterly marvellous. And as a bonus, Ke Huy Quan is a scene-stealing delight!"
Be sure to check back here tomorrow evening for our Loki season 2 premiere recaps. A new TVA promo has also been released featuring Miss Minutes which you can take a look at below.
Loki season 2 will pick up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.
The series stars Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan and Owen Wilson.
Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead, Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani direct episodes. The Head Writer is Eric Martin.
Loki season 2 begins streaming on October 5, exclusively on Disney+.
