Unsurprisingly,
Variety has now confirmed that production on
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,
Loki, and
WandaVision has been put on hold due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
Disney made the decision to hit the pause button on its Disney+ TV shows yesterday, and it's said that those currently in the pre-production phases will continue being worked on "remotely." That bodes well for their future, but there's still a lot of uncertainty surrounding what Hollywood will do next depending on how bad things get with this pandemic.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was the first to delay production earlier this week due to having to leave Prague.
Loki has been filming in Atlanta, while it's thought that work on
WandaVision has pretty much been completed, so it's likely in-studio scenes which have now been put on hold.
This news comes shortly after Disney decided to suspend production on all its live-action films, including
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and
The Little Mermaid.
As of right now, we have no idea whether this is going to lead to any delays, but WandaVision isn't set to hit Disney+ until November, and Loki is scheduled for 2021. As for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, that's coming our way this August, but it's entirely possible it will be delayed if these delays continue posing a problem for Hollywood productions.
Stay tuned for updates as we have them!
