LOKI: Check Out Some Spoiler Stills From The Latest Episode Of The Disney+ Series

Today's episode of Loki certainly didn't disappoint, and a case can now be made for this being the best Marvel Studios series to date. Check out some spoilery stills from "The Nexus Event" right here...

We're now four episodes into Loki's six-episode run, and we can't help but hope those rumours of a second season are true. This is certainly a series like no other, and there were plenty of shocking moments to discuss (you can read our in-depth recap of "The Nexus Event" by clicking here).

As per usual, Marvel Studios has shared a new batch of stills from the episode which highlight a number of key moments. The God of Mischief himself is absent, but there are some awesome shots of Mobius (Owen Wilson), Judge Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), and Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku).

As we've mentioned, "The Nexus Event" certainly delivered its fair share of surprises, but there were some heartbreaking moments as well. Written by Eric Martin - whose biggest credit before Loki may have been as a production assistant on Rick and Morty - this was an astonishing piece of television.

Director Kate Herron and Head Writer Michael Waldron have done an incredible job spearheading the series, and while the latter has signed an overall deal with Disney, we certainly hope Herron follows suit!

You can expect more stills to be released next week along with another character poster. The question is, which of those alternate versions of Loki will end up taking centre stage?

I'm glad they finally really give Renslayer something to do beyond just talking. Although she looked cool fighting, the coat still made her look a little goofy.

All in all, I really dig the aesthetic of this show. And was surprised to see Asgard again (at two different occasions)

Fingers crossed Mobius was sent to a timeline where his other versions are.

Mobius was supposed to die in a tragic jetski accident, but one version survived and became a TVA agent instead.

@Reeds2Much - Like a moth to a flame.

So I’m thinking Loki got sent to a version of limbo that the TVA dumps everything that’s been pruned.

Maybe Renslayer, due to her comics history with him, is working with Kang, who really runs the TVA, or maybe Immortus, future version of Kang, if they want to save Kang for the movies.

I hope we get to see the space phantom if it is limbo.

Great episode! I was so relieved after that first scene that we could finally end the “Loki/Enchantress” debate.

And after this, I definitely think Kang is getting introduced here. I don’t see who else can be behind the TVA at this point, with Grant’s Loki out of the running.

In the fight with the TVA agents I couldn't help but think Loki's power level fluctuates wildly. He's been shown to throw around humans with one hand so it was kinda weird seeing him do stabby jabby with a bunch of redshirts.

@FleischerSupes - His magic doesn't work in the TVA, so the fisticuffs sometimes makes sense. (But you're right that his power is wildly inconsistent everywhere else. I was convinced he must have stolen a time stone or something because he was shooting green energy blasts and causing buildings to untopple on Lamentus.
Apparently he can just do that now?)

@Spock0Clock - That's also true. But dude's biologically a frost giant. I assumed his strength and invulnerability (surviving being cracked like a whip by the Hulk) was natural because of being a giant. And being raised on Asgardian food probably wouldn't hurt either.

@FleischerSupes - Yeah, I felt that too. Maybe the TVA guys are stronger somehow?

@Spock0Clock - yes! I thought "what??" when he stopped that building. I thought he could only create illusions?

That was a pretty crazy, bonkers episode. Might be the best of the season so far (4>1>3>2). Seeing Lady Sif again was an unexpected surprise. The journey all the main characters go on in this episode was great. The double reveal of the time keepers was sweet. I was pretty bummed about Mobius being pruned, but I'm glad that it seems there is hope we will see him again. Loki getting pruned and ending up in the destroyed timeline with all those other Lokis was bonkers.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Funny thing is I imagined all hydra weapons in CA:TFA were to have a similar effect since they were made using the space stone power. I wondered if all those seemingly deceased soldiers were sent to another world or something.

if Kang the Conqueror makes an appearance, I will lose. my. shit.

seems like time travel and the multiverse is the theme of the next 10 years of the MCU...Endgame was setting it up all along
