LOKI Drops A MAJOR New Piece Of Information About The Truth Behind The Time Variance Authority - SPOILERS

It's clear Loki is a series with plenty of secrets that have yet to be unravelled, but a true bombshell about the Time Variance Authority was revealed today and it changes everything we thought we knew...

Well, those of you who have speculated that there's something sinister about the Time Variance Authority were definitely rewarded in today's episode of Loki! "Lamentis" didn't feature too many big reveals, but a conversation between Loki and his female doppelganger sheds some light on what's really going on in the TVA.

Describing how her enchanting powers work, the "Variant" revealed that the young agent she kidnapped in last week's episode had a mind that was completely clouded, forcing her to pull a memory from hundreds of years ago (at the start of the episode, she's shown enjoying a Margherita in a bar).

The female Loki explains that this was a memory from when the girl was just a regular person on Earth, before she was recruited by the TVA.

The God of Mischief is shocked, especially after Mobius told him that the members of the TVA were created by the Time-Keepers. However, the devastating truth is that they're all just Variants!

Now, it's clear that something weird is going on in the TVA, and something tells us that Mobius' love of jet skis could be a remnant of who he was before being recruited (likely against his will). That young female agent has been serving them for hundreds of years after being plucked out of her place in the timeline, and it seems the TVA has created an army of unwitting - and unwilling - slaves.

Needless to say, we're hoping Loki will reunite with Mobius to help him understand the truth...

Shit is about to go down in the next couple of episodes! Still want to know why Sylvie is hellbent on destroying the TVA. Also can’t wait to learn the real truth behind the timekeepers

@PantherKing - I assume it's revenge. she said she was told very early on in her life she was adopted, what if that was seen as something that shouldn't have happened and her timeline was erased? maybe she got away somehow and has been hidden all these years planning her revenge. she did say her plan took years to prepare.

Ofcourse the TVA is just a bunch of scammers looking for control and Loki is right about them. Now I really wonder if the Time-Keepers are even (still) around.

I’m not sure about anybody else but I did find this episode boring !!! Wrong actress to play Sylvia, at best she seems like a good enough actress for a doctor who episode! Their team up seems silly and I feel the show runners could have fit in all the useful info in this plus the last scene into about ten mins. A lot of it seemed like it was trying toohard and I feel like Tom Hiddleston is going out of his way to be hammy and OTT for laughs sake. Don’t get me wrong Asgardians are hammy but I feel like he’s milking it massively.

Fight scenes were also put in for the sake of it.

At this stage Wandavision is the only MCU series that has kept up its consistency episode by episode in terms of quality.

FATWS could have easily done without three of their episodes filled with exposition.

Regardless loving the TVA but think as soon as they aren’t in it the show loses something that makes it work.

I’m not a hater so will continue to watch but I feel like Fiege is spreading himself thin in terms of quality control.

@Jaymasta - I somewhat agree. My least favorite of the three so far. I do wish we had found out more about Sylvie if the episode was going to focus completely on her and Loki. I thought she had had a plan and wanted him to come along after episode 2.

I also thought while watching that it felt a lot like a Doctor Who episode. I don’t know if I’d say that’s a bad thing necessarily. It was like a multi-Doctor episode where the different versions just bicker with each other.

But I think I mostly just missed Mobius. The Loki/Mobius chemistry is miles more entertaining than Loki/Sylvie.

@BloopBlorp2 - doctor who’s great but it’s doctor who, average sets average cgi b/c class actors but quality scripts. You know what you are getting. MCU has got the money and the time and the reach to create high end quality productions. I think Sylvias casting is awful and their English banter was just lame. It felt so off beat. Mobius and the TVA def a big miss in this episode.

Now in hindsite I think Loki hasn’t held together a scene in his own at all but with Mobius his scenes definitely work. I guess Loki without Thor would also be the same. He needs someone good to bounce off to be as entertaining and interesting perhaps.

That is if he believes him he is liar he knows it that’s what he was reciting for he shouldn’t be to surprised if mobius already know this should keep that in mind
