There's been a lot of speculation about who Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be playing in Disney+'s Loki, and her character's identity has finally been confirmed.
The first teaser suggested that the Beauty and the Best actress had been cast as the head of the Time Variance Authority, but following the release of today's full trailer, Marvel has revealed her name: Judge Renslayer.
While there's always a chance this is a new character with the same surname, this is almost certainly Ravona Renslayer, aka Terminatrix. In the comics, Ravona was the time-travelling former ruler of Chronopolis and an enemy/ally/lover of Kang the Conqueror. Since we know that villain will be introduced in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, is there a chance Loki will end up tying into the Marvel Studios sequel?
It's possible, but, again, this Renslayer may only be partially inspired by her comic book counterpart. Still, given Loki's time/reality altering premise, it would make sense to introduce or at least tease Jonathan Majors' take on Kang before he makes his big screen debut in Ant-Man 3.

Loki will see the God of Mischief step "out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer."
Marvel's highly-anticipated Disney+ series is set to premiere on the streaming service on June 11.
