LOKI Season 2 Rumored To Include "Multiple" Kang The Conqueror Variants

A new Loki season 2 rumour sheds some light on plans for Kang the Conqueror in the Disney+ series, including the fact Jonathan Majors is expected to play "multiple" Variants of the time-travelling baddie.

Jonathan Majors first played Kang in Loki's season 1 finale, though it was in the villain's He Who Remains form. The time-traveller had managed to master control of all time, creating the Sacred Timeline and eliminating his Variants from existence.

However, when Sylvie killed He Who Remains, the Multiverse was reborn and Multiversal war now beckons. We'll first meet Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, with the expectation being that he'll go on to become the MCU's new big bad (though there's always a chance another of his Variants will take his place).

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, "there will be multiple Kang variants in Loki [season 2]," with that claim following a recent report that Majors has been on set shooting additional scenes for the Disney+ series.

Another interesting tidbit is that the show "will introduce a new concept called Time Loom...it is the source of the TVA power. They use the energy from the time stream and absorb it."

It will be interesting seeing how that comes into play here, and if this so-called Time Loom is that powerful, it may well be something Kang wants to get his hands on. In fact, with He Who Remains no more, that might just be why all these Variants decide to take aim at the TVA.

We'll have to wait and see; it's important to note that this is just a rumour and nothing has been confirmed at this stage.

In the closing moments of Loki's sixth episode, the God of Mischief found himself in an alternate reality where Kang openly ruled over the TVA, so we're bound to see Majors come into play somehow. With any luck, the next Ant-Man movie will include a post-credits scene setting the stage for the show's return!

Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania arrives in theaters on February 17, while Loki season 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ this summer.

We will see Kang's council called by Kang.

Time Loom? Think it would be more interesting if it's Entropy.

Anyway, wonder which Kang we'll see. Prime Kang is trapped in the Quantum Realm, so the ones we'll see in Loki probably aren't the once WHR was so afraid of.

@bkmeijer1 - if rumours are true then WHR maybe afraid of Beyonder Kang variant...

@bkmeijer1 - I like the idea of The Scarlet Centurion making hit-and-run raids on various universes to destabilize the multiverse with his team of robbers. They could be a team of outlaws and Kang offers a time bounty on the Centurion's head.

The rewards could be "time" in Kang's world. For example, 500 years of life for the head of the Centurion.

@MochaKing - wouldn't be surprised if Beyonder Kang is someone Prime Kang and WHR don't even know exist

@Repian - could see that be the case. I'm also hoping to see Immortus, Victor Timely and/or Gryphon (we did already see Qeng Industries tower).

Also, I think there's also a Kang variant that was just a rookie time traveler that got recruited by the TVA. that could be interesting to see as well.

Why does it feel like by time Kang has his big final moment we’ll be bored because he’s the 70th Kang we’ve seen?

I am so bored of Kang already lol. I can't help but think what if Thanos's big entrance was to fight Ant-Man and then lose instead of beating the utter crap out of Hulk easily on Thor's ship and killing Heimdell and half of the Asgardians and then going on to extinguish half of life in the universe. Instead we get Ant-Man apparently punking him and breaking a promise to him. Hopefully I'm wrong and they actually make him a more interesting character then what we've seen so far.

@WarMonkey - Quantumania hasn't even come out yet, he's appeared on screen ONCE and youre bored of him?

Maybe stop reading these sites everyday if just seeing news about a character bores you

@SATW42 - I disliked character in Loki, it was so freaking goofy and made the rest of the MCU less interesting knowing he was the reason everyone did anything in their lives by removing free-will. Then I see his face popping up over every new Marvel ad or poster or article. Then I see him being promoted constantly for other movies like Devotion or Creed 3. So all I see is his face everywhere and he isn't really a good actor from what I've seen of him so far. Might change my mind from his Creed performance though he looked good in the trailers. He's nothing but Jonathon Majors in Marvel cosplay for me so far, I see him not his characters and not sure he even has the range or skill to play multiple versions of the same character.

@WarMonkey - it sounds like youre bored with majors, not Kang.

If he's the Villian in Secret Wars and the other big team up, it will lose all the sizzle. [frick] the variant idea to hell, it's played out
