Marvel's Luke Cage season two premieres this Friday with thirteen brand new episodes that will see the Power Man and his allies return for an all-new adventure that will pit Luke (Mike Colter) against the villainous Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir) as well as the returning threat of Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) and Shades (Theo Rossi).

Netflix has released over forty hi-res promotional stills from the upcoming season and you can check out the first twenty-two right below (with the rest going live later today). The first batch of stills spotlights the season premiere, titled "Soul Brother #1," episode two, titled "Straighten It Out," and episode three, titled "Wig Out."

While they're hardly spoiler-y, the photos for the third episode do reveal that the Daughters of the Dragon team-up between Misty Knight (Simone Missick) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) will begin pretty early in the season as it looks like Colleen will begin to train Misty, who is still recovering from losing her arm in The Defenders.

@LordHarryLatts - I have a friend who was down in D.C for a party where they premiered the first two episodes and featured the musical peeps from the soundtrack..including Rakim, I think. She said that the first episode stank, and the 2nd one was a little better

The late great Reg E. Cathey's last role I think. Excited to see him here. Apparently he started to get sick on set and location during filming. Colter said he learned a lot from him about life and professionalism.
