Rosario Dawson Is Unsure Of Her Future With Marvel Following Her Role In LUKE CAGE Season 2
While Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple has appeared in nearly all of Marvel's Netflix shows, the actress has expressed uncertainty over the character's role in the future of this side of the Marvel universe.
Ever since her big debut in Daredevil Season 1, Rosario Dawson has had a large and frequent role in nearly all of Marvel’s Netflix series. Dawson’s Claire Temple has even gone on to be an important love interest to Luke Cage (Mike Colter).
Still, while she has been a staple of this corner of the Marvel Universe, Dawson is currently unsure about her future as the Night Nurse following her upcomming role in Luke Cage Season 2.
The star expressed doubts during a recent appearance at the MCM Comic Con in London.
“Yeah, it’s pretty wild actually. I don’t know if I’ll be back after this, to be honest, but it’s been an amazing few years,” Dawson admitted, (via ScreenGeek) before addressing which shows she could appear in after Luke Cage Season 2. “I’ve been on a lot of different shows. I mean, I don’t know if maybe they do a third season of Luke Cage potentially, or maybe if they figure out some kind of way for me to be on The Punisher – just so I can feel like I’ve done every show.”
Dawson went on to talk about how the job affects her personal life, which could be a good reason for stepping away from the role:
“But it’s been like, my daughter is high school, so I kinda wanna’ not be 3000 miles away for work.”
In all, Dawson’s statements don’t conclusively say season 2 of Luke Cage will be her final appearance in the Netflix world, but they definitely show that her status may be up in the air - which is surprising given reports from the beginning of this year pointed to Dawson possibly having a presence in Iron Fist Season 2 and Daredevil Season 3.
