It looks like a previous report about filming kicking off in Atlanta, GA this month has proven correct. According to that same report, the production is scheduled to wrap in March 2021 (provided there are no COVID-19 related delays).
British comedian Bisha K. Ali (Sex Education) is serving as showrunner and writer on the series, which lists Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life), Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon as episode directors.
Ms. Marvel is expected to debut on Disney+ in late-2021/early-2022.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously expressed excitement about Khan being introduced in her own television show before crossing over into other MCU films.
Many fans expect the character to appear alongside Brie Larson's Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel 2 which is currently slated for release on July 8, 2022. The Phase Four film turned over its entire creative team, as WandaVision scribe Megan McDonnell replaced a host of writers that worked on the first film and director Nia DaCosta replacing the duo of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck.
