In the latest TV spot for Ms. Marvel, we get an even better idea of what to expect from the Marvel Cinematic Universe's take on Kamala Khan. There is some disappointment among comic book fans that the teenager's Mister Fantastic-style embiggening powers have been switched out for Green Lantern-inspired energy constructs, but visually, the show is clearly paying homage to the former.
Those involved with the Disney+ series have said that there's a good reason for the change, and it appears Kamala finds Kree Nega-Bands that will better explain her role in The Marvels. The bands will closely tie her to the ancient alien race, and there's always a chance this is leading to the Inhumans and Terrigen Mists being added to the MCU in the not too distant future.
Regardless, Ms. Marvel is shaping up to be a blast. Kamala appears to be a character it will be a lot of fun to spend time with, and no matter what her powers look like, the spirit of the comics is there.

"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
We recently learned that joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
