Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness remains #1 at the global box office, and with that movie now in the rearview, all eyes will soon turn to Disney+'s Ms. Marvel. Marvel Studios certainly hasn't kept us waiting long for another MCU series on the streaming service after Moon Knight wrapped up, and it's definitely exciting to think that another new hero will soon be added to this world.
Now, Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan has been given the spotlight on a new SFX Magazine cover.
That costume looks incredible and definitely does the comic books justice. While changes to Ms. Marvel's powers have proven controversial and divisive among many fans, it feels like Marvel Studios has tapped into the essence of what makes this character so beloved.
After debuting in Ms. Marvel, Kamala will next be seen in The Marvels alongside Brie Larson's Captain Marvel and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau (who we're expecting will soon go by Spectrum).
Take a closer look at the suited up superhero below:
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
We recently learned that joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8.
