MS. MARVEL Social Media Reactions Praise A Visually Unique MCU Series And Breakout Star Iman Vellani

Early social media reactions for Ms. Marvel have surfaced after critics were sent the first two episodes, and it sounds like Marvel Studios has another Disney+ hit on its hands with Kamala Khan's debut...

Critics were recently sent the first two episodes of Ms. Marvel to review (that embargo lifts on June 7 at 6am PT), and that means we now have social media reactions.

As per usual, it's always wise to take these with a pinch of salt because the full reviews sometimes differ from the often overly positive kneejerk reactions shared on Twitter. However, having seen those first two chapters ourselves, we can tell you that Ms. Marvel definitely doesn't disappoint (you'll find our early verdicts embedded below).

This appears to be the general consensus, as the show's unique, seemingly Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse-inspired visuals receive a lot of mentions, as does newcomer Iman Vellani. Clearly, she's going to make this character her own, and it sounds like Marvel Studios is telling Kamala Khan's story in a meaningful, authentic way.

While all eyes will be on Obi-Wan Kenobi this week, Ms. Marvel is right around the corner and we're bound to see more from the show soon. Social media reactions like these do tend to offer a good idea of what to expect, and so far, it definitely sounds like one of the best MCU Disney+ series.

Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8!

It seems like she's manifesting the powers in the same manner she would if she used them in the comics, they're just constructs. If it's really do to the impending arrival of the FF that's silly, but I'm warming up to artificial embiggening. Looking forward to seeing where she is by the end of the show.

@The1st - Yeah I don't really get the fury about her power change since it looks like she will eventually be using them pretty much the same way she uses her embiggening in the comics.

I don't think Marvel wanted to do all of the gymnastics it would require to somehow tie her powers into the Inhumans considering where they currently stand (nonexistent) in the main MCU

@The1st -
She will be able to do more than just embiggen. It widens her ability to be a major hero rather than just doing things at arms length, as it were.

@The1st - don't wanna spoil anything, so just wait with the powers.

Well, that's good to hear that people who've seen it are liking it so far. Idk much about her character but I'll give it a shot when it launches.

The comics are awesome. Very funny with great art. I was worried the trailers looked too dry but I hope I'm wrong

@Thing94 - No problem, friend. While I didn't agree with your post, it's tiresome to see these replies that are personal attacks staying up. (That's why the "Dislike" button was added -- hopefully Nate will get it to work one day.)
