After James Marsters (Victor Stein/Jonah) let the news slip over the weekend, Hulu has officially confirmed that Marvel's Runaways has been renewed for a ten-episode third season.

While details are scarce, Season 3 will shift more of the attention to the core cast of kids, played by Rhenzy Feliz (Alex Wilder), Lyrica Okano (Nico Minoru), Virginia Gardner (Karolina Dean), Ariela Barer (Gert Yorkes), Gregg Sulkin (Chase Stein), and Allegra Acosta (Molly Hernandez). Meanwhile, the adult cast playing their parents will now be factual series regulars, meaning they'll only appear in seven of the ten installments.

In a statement, showrunners/writers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage said, “We are so excited to tell more Runaways stories and are so grateful to Marvel, Hulu, our amazing cast and crew and of course our passionate audience. Season three will be a magical time on Runaways, as we deepen our connection to the Marvel universe. We are honored to continue to play in the sandbox created by Brian K Vaughn and Adrian Alphona.

Every teenager thinks their parents are evil. What if you found out they actually were? “Marvel’s Runaways” is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe – their parents. The Hulu original series is based on the Marvel comics created by the award- team of Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona. The book series has won an Eisner, a Harvey and was featured as one of the Young Adult Library Services Association’s best books for young adults.

Marvel's Runaways features:
Rhenzy Feliz as Alex Wilder
Lyrica Okano as Nico Minoru
Virginia Gardner as Karolina Dean
Ariela Barer as Gert Yorkes

I'm actually quite surprised this won't be on Disney+ in the future.

Not now Rohan we're still talking about Snyder we'll talk about this later

JK

I know it's a little off topic but I saw a poster for cloak and dagger in my subway station and I thought it was so cool.

I'll admit runaways season 1 wasn't for me so much so that I didn't even realize season 2 released but maybe I'll give it another shot.

Awesome. if only they revive Daredevil and the other cancelled Marvel-Netflix shows, we can finally see what happens to Hornhead and his friends after the cliffhangers they left. Also, I'd like to see Kevin Feige produce the shows from then on.

I actually didn’t know Season 2 came out. I dont know I lied Season one but it having no ties to the mcu really at all left me disappointed after Loeb specifically said it was MCU

@Ha1frican - Season 2 has a fairly significant Dr Strange related moment near the end, though overall its still a fairly self contained show

It took me forever to force myself to finish season one, it was garbage. Figured I'd give season two a second chance but I couldn't make it through the trash first episode.

Has it gotten any better? I loved the comics and wanted to at least enjoy this but this show was just so cringe to me.

Awesome. I love the show, both seasons and Virginia Gardner, the best part of Halloween.

Runaways is a competent enough production, and is certainly way ahead of most comic book TV shows in all the technical categories.... It's just a shame that its not dramatic enough to work as a teen drama, nor exciting enough to work as a superhero show. It's just kind of stuck between the two genres and ends up being a bit nothing.

I like to watch everything set in the MCU because I get a kick out of having seen everything. Runaways falls isn't terrible, but for me it falls into the category with Inhumans and Iron Fist of feeling more like homework.
