RESULTS: Here's How You, ComicBookMovie.com's Readers, Rated SECRET INVASION Season 1!

We recently asked you to cast your votes and rate the divisive first season of Secret Invasion, and the results are in! Find out how ComicBookMovie.com's readers reviewed the Marvel Studios series here...

Secret Invasion concluded a little over a week ago, and the series is still being talked about...just not in the most positive way.

The finale is the worst-reviewed content Marvel Studios has ever produced, while Secret Invasion is now one of three "Rotten" MCU titles on Rotten Tomatoes (the others are Eternals and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania). That's yet another blow to Marvel Studios during the ongoing Multiverse Saga.

We gave the first two instalments a glowing review but it was sadly all downhill from there. While the show is by no means bad, it didn't live up to its early promise and the finale...well, it was a disaster.

Following the release of "Home" last week on Disney+, we asked you to chime in with your thoughts on Secret Invasion and the results are in!

26.12% of you awarded the show a disappointing ⭐⭐, though most seemed to think the show was just fine with ⭐⭐⭐ right behind at 25.76%. However, there were clearly a lot of viewers who didn't like what they saw as 18.95% of ComicBookMovie.com's readers chose a dismal ⭐ score.

14.13% thoroughly enjoyed it, however, as they voted for ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Surprisingly, it seems many people have grown tired of these MCU TV shows as 10.76% confirmed: "I haven't watched it/don't plan on watching."

Rounding out these results, a mere 4.26% of you went with a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating.

Secret Invasion ends in a way which left the door open to a second season but there's surely no way that will ever become a reality. As a result, we don't know when and where we'll pick up with characters like Gi'ah and Sonya Falsworth.

In Secret Invasion, set in the present-day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.

All six episodes are now streaming on Disney+.

I don't even remember seeing the voting poll.

Josh, did you fake polling results to justify you continuously calling the show divisive?

Show has sooooo much potential but was a massive let down and was just a giant cluster f*ck in the last 2 episodes... sooo many things that contradicte each other and made 0 sense at all. Ugh. Idk what I'm looking forward to next in the MCU... can't believe I'm saying that

@MotherGooseUPus - what were the contradictions?
MotherGooseUPus
MotherGooseUPus - 8/1/2023, 1:22 PM
@TheVisionary25 - Fury refused to call the Avengers for help, fearing that they would be caught and the skrulls would use their powers... then he goes and gives the "harvest" (the DUMBEST thing ever) with all the Avengers, Thanos, black order etc... DNA (which would never work) to Gravik to actually use and turn himself into a stupidly powerful super skrull, which he does, only for Giah to be even more powerful than him, and now she is doing her own thing on loose doing who knows what. Literally contradicted himself in his own show, and wanted "end it himself" but sent Giah instead. Just makes NO sense whatsoever, stupid f*cking writing and just bad

@MotherGooseUPus - that’s not why he doesn’t call them

He tells Fake Rhodey that he doesn’t want them to be copied and then have the Skrulls shapeshift into them and brand them as terrorists.

I do agree that that Nick shoukd have atleast confronted Gravik even if it was smart of him to send a powered up G’iah there instead

@TheVisionary25 - I had forgotten of that part about not calling in the Avengers. Good memory.

And yes I guess it's a double-edged sword that it was really Fury who was confronting Gravik as he unloaded all that he had felt all this time but at the same time is a classic Director Fury move, the POTUS was more important.

Also G'iah isn't doing whatever she want nor in the loose, she's working with Sonya in finding the abducted people and then to calm the waters of the Skrull manhunt the POTUS recklessly unleashed. She's not power hungry either.

I thought it was just fine, and, despite the VERY vocal dissenters, 43% thought it was 3-stars or better, only 2% less than those that thought it was 1 or 2-stars. Considering that the sentiment on this site is resolutely against this show being any good, I'd say that that's a pretty good result. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I felt it was just ok... not terrible. Nothing to write home about. I feel like it could have been so much better. It was billed as this MCU spy thriller type show when it really wasn't that. There wasn't much suspense. It was just... bleh.

Like the other D+ shows, it was pretty forgettable. Though a couple of the shows were okay, most were bad. It's clear to me the MCU brand would have been way better off if none of the D+ shows had ever happened.

We were all so excited by the prospect of all these shows. Be careful what you wish for. We all got monkey's paw catfished right in the a$$!

Let's wish all of those a speedy recovery from their terrible taste in entertainment!

I liked it, from the tone to the characters, the dialogue and that it had stakes that have changed the MCU in the end.

Hope they learn from the things that didn't work here and improve in the next miniseries.
