SECRET INVASION Star Christopher McDonald Reveals When Shooting Begins And Teases Scenes With Nick Fury

While he couldn't say much about his role in Marvel Studios and Disney+'s Secret Invasion, Christopher McDonald has revealed when shooting starts while teasing scenes with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury.

Marvel Studios has put together a terrific cast for Secret Invasion, but aside from Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn (who will return as Nick Fury and Talos), we have no idea who anyone is playing!

That includes Happy Gilmore star Christopher McDonald, and while he's clearly got the memo about keeping this show's secrets, well, secret, the actor did share a few minor updates with The Movie Dweeb

"I'm [coming] to London to make this thing happen in a months time, I think?" the actor said. "A month and a half’s time, I’ll be there doing it. I know nothing. I can say nothing cause I signed an NDA, so there’s nothing other than the fact it’s called Secret Invasion.  I can’t go too far into it."

McDonald did, however, heap plenty of praise on Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, stating: "They’re taking a little bit more chances with them, with Kevin again is the man at the helm on that, doing a heck of a job. It’s all a big question mark right now. I can’t wait to come to London."

"I know I’ll be doing a lot of stuff with Samuel," he confirmed, making it clear he shares scenes with Nick Fury, "but I would love to work with Olivia Coleman. Of course, Ms. Clarke would be amazing. Sam’s going to be amazing."

It would be easy enough to predict that McDonald might be playing a Skrull if he shares scenes with Jackson, but we know next to nothing about Secret Invasion, so can only speculate for now. That includes how closely the series will adhere to the comic book event of the same name which saw the Skrulls invade Earth, replacing key heroes and people in positions of power before an all-out war.

Something tells us this show will be a little smaller in scale, but it's hard to say for sure.

10. Nova Prime

Convincing Glenn Close to join the MCU was a big win for filmmaker James Gunn as he developed Guardians of the Galaxy for Marvel Studios.

Her role as Nova Prime was minor, but still crucial to how the story played out. Richard Rider was M.I.A., but the existence of the Nova Corps proved to be more than enough to leave fans chomping at the bit for their MCU future.

Unfortunately, Thanos decimated them off camera in Avengers: Infinity War, so we can only assume Nova Prime was among the fallen. The reason we have to assume that, however, is because Marvel Studios has never bothered to address what became of the interplanetary police force.

Did Thanos leave half of them alive? Are they all dead. Who knows.

I can see him be the president of the United States in this. One thats obviously replaced by a Skrull.

I'm also hoping that we're getting Siege and Dark Reign shows after this. Would like to see the aftermath of this show be handled on its own too and not be one and done.

Loki has opened the door for variant characters. I would absolutely love to see classic Nick Fury appear. He's always been one of my favourites. I don't know what the situation would need to be though for a variant Nick Fury to appear.
