How is Ms. Marvel better than Loki? That I won't understand. Loki was arguably the most well written and cohesive MCU entry on Disney+. It felt like the perfect flowing story. Where as the others felt all over the place with a rushed ending that didn't feel organic to the overall storyline.

@SonOfAGif - Because Hollywood has to put a non-white,non-male as top of the heap for society purposes. If they didn't they would hear it from....ya know people who have an agenda.

Rotten Tomatoes is a terrible metric for TV shows. As I’ve pointed out in the past most shows are only reviewed based off the first 1-2 episodes. Even then most critics reviewing it, are doing so because it is already within their interests due to the amount of tv to review compared movies. And most critics who continue reviewing are more likely to be enjoying it as the ones who have disliked the show already dropped it. That’s why you see many second seasons on RT at 100%.

Although I prefer RT for movies, Metacritic is a much better metric for television as at least the scores are weighted, despite many of the same problems

@MrDandy - RT is sh#t for everything. A bunch of bitter A holes trashing every movie and show that doesn’t live up to their pathetic expectations.

I see you chose to only go by the reviewer scores not the audience score

Next time you go to a restaurant, ask one of the customers to prepare your meal.

@DrReedRichards - I will trust a friend who has similar taste as me for a restaurant recommendation more than a food critic.

Your comparison is not apt. We aren't asking the fans to make the shows. We want to see what people think about them. Critics are largely disconnected from the average person and their opinions don't mean much these days.

"We aren't asking the fans to make the shows."

You're right, we aren't. We're way past that point. We're now diving head first into our own rectums, acting as if we ourseves could do it better. You see it on YouTube, you see it in comment sections, you see it everywhere. We've forgotten what it means to be f#ckin' grateful for what we're enjoying, and instead like to prance that we're proud of following whatever brand, acting as if we had any part in making any of it.

So, while somewhat exaggerated, I stand by my comparison: Go to a restaurant. Ask one of those vocally complaining in the premises to prepare your dish. See how that works out fo you.

My issue is not with your specifically, but f#ck me, it gets tiring trying to keep a straight face when met with constant arrogance from some of the coments here...

That's it, rant over.

@DrReedRichards - Man it's a balance.

I get some people are overly negative. I've veered that way before and have really tried just avoiding the things I don't like and minimizing my comments about it to avoid fights with others.

But there is the other side too. The consume next product like everything we are given side.

It's not wrong to want better for something. Especially when many of us have seen what we perceive as a drop in quality. Something that many of us used to love and enjoy every entry from has fallen from grace in our eyes.

Going back to your restaurant analogy, are you ok with anything they serve you, even if it wasn't good or what was expected? Isn't it fair to give a low review to a restaurant with bad food or service?

Why can't that same allowance be given for the MCU? Why is it that everybody who dislikes it these days is called racist, misogynist, incel, troll, or some other epithet? Why can't the fans understand that some people don't like the writing, direction or characterization that has been happening during Phase 4?

I know some people are just negative or hateful (shoot I know I've done this before but have really tried adjusting my approach lately). But attacking people that don't like something isn't the way. I want MCU to improve vs what we have seen. I LOVED Werewolf By Night and I am hoping BP2 can be good. I've learned that I will just not watch the things that I don't want to and just read the summary so I keep up on the connected part. But the overall MCU suffers if they release products that less people enjoy. It hurts viewership and their bottom line so they may not be able to continue expanding if they keep going down this direction.

My rant is over, but I really wish the haters could be more constructive and the lovers could allow for the criticism and we'd all be happier.

Here's the thing, though: this is not constructive criticism. In regards to the very first comment in this thread, which is where my reaction stems from, claiming to know better than the critics is not constructive. It's not even criticism to begin with. It's the definition of arrogance, which is what my earlier tangent was based on.

Yes, I agree with you that criticism should be listened to, and the constructive kind should be taken into consideration. But ask yourself this; Are those comments really constructive? Comments like our thread's initial "I know better", or an empty "he's a Marvel shill" from someone who has blocked me and feels safe talking shit behind my back (but thank God for incognito mode)?
