SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Stills Reveal A Closer Look At Megan Thee Stallion's Memorable MCU Debut

In last Thursday's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Jennifer Walters found an unexpected new client in rapper Megan Thee Stallion. The cameo has got everyone talking, with some fans aghast that the superhero dared share a dance with the WAP singer.

During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Titania actress Jameela Jamil was asked about the role she played in convincing Megan to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I know Megan from Legendary and I know how legendary she is, and she's so smart and so funny and just such a star, and I'm such a fan," Jamil explains. "So I was preparing to come and do this when I was filming Legendary Season 2, and I just asked her, and she turned out to be a huge Marvel fan."

"I just had a feeling she'd be a great actor 'cause she's good at everything," the actress added, "and she absolutely smashed it."

Marvel Studios has also shared a new gallery of stills from "The People vs. Emil Blonsky," offering a closer look at Megan's cameo along with a few other key moments in the show. Abomination gets the spotlight after transforming in front of the horrified parole board, as does the MCU's Sorcerer Supreme Wong.

Perhaps most interesting is that shot of Renée Elise Goldberry as Mallory Book. That character has barely factored into She-Hulk: Attorney at Law during its first three episodes, so we're hoping she has a bigger role to play as the series progresses.

As for Megan, we don't know if she'll show up again, but would bet on it being a one-and-done cameo (after all, the spotlight will soon shift to a new guest star in Charlie Cox's Daredevil).

There have been a lot of hilarious overreactions to MCU stuff over the years, but seeing tons of grown-ass people losing their shit on social media over some singer dancing with the main character in the post credit scene of a comedy show has been especially... special.

@Kyos - I don't get the reaction tbh. People act like they're offended by it. Very weird.

@Kyos - Some of us would rather trashy musicians stay away from the MCU and for the heroes to not act ridiculous. Remember when people got mad about the dance off in GOTG? How about all the people that thought the new Thor movie was too silly? The review on this site said as much about that movie actually. Don’t act like this is the first time something like this has happened.

@Kyos - I think it's hilarious too. The twerking scene or Megan Thee Stallion aren't that memorable at all, but those reactions to it are.

@Kyos - A whooooooooooole lot of people need to go outside, get some fresh air and touch some grass if they’re legit upset like this. It’s f’ing ridiculous.

@mountainman - Well, just speaking for me personally, I can't comment on how trashy or not Miss Thee Stallion is, I loved the dance-off, and was fine overall with Love&Thunder.

Don’t act like this is the first time something like this has happened.

A sensible request. Or at least it would've been, if my very first sentence hadn't started with "There have been a lot of hilarious overreactions to MCU stuff over the years".

@mountainman - the pearl clutching is hilarious.

@Kyos - adding to what you said, half of Marvel's end-credits scenes are throw away comedic moments. So this is worse than shawarma, Cap's PSA, or any other one of those? They are literally meant to be throw-away scenes, not to be taken seriously.

mountainman - 9/5/2022, 3:07 PM
@TheSuperMex - I also can use terms without knowing what they mean. She’s objectively trashy, no pearls to be clutched. Either way, i’ll bounce out of this conversion as these threads have gotten heated before. People are allowed to have different opinions that you. If you enjoy it great. I’m waiting for more serious and quality MCU content. Hopefully BP2 is it. With how much they produce these days, it can’t all appeal to all of us. I’ll let you like what you like. Let me dislike what I dislike. Opinions differ.

@Itwasme - Some people really went all "But what if our children see this filth?", and I don't know, maybe check if a show rated 'TV-14 for mature themes, violence, and language' is appropriate for your kids? If they're younger they probably won't take any damage from the silly dancing part, and if they're 14+ they're probably familiar with both the artist and the dance style.

And why is it that I never saw such worry about the poor children with other wholesome MCU shows?

@Kyos - That action was portrayed as negative wasn’t it?
TheLobster
TheLobster - 9/5/2022, 3:27 PM
@Kyos - I don’t personally feel offended or even mad/annoyed - I just see it as cringe and an indication of the quality of writing for this series.

@mountainman - Wait, people were upset about the GotG dance off? Ok, Thor turning into a dumbass is relatively alarming, but the dance off upset people? Yeah that's actually sad.
RolandD
RolandD - 9/5/2022, 3:35 PM
@Kyos - I think a lot of the people who have complained about her appearance and the credit scene were just waiting for another reason to complain about the show. I’m sure that’s not everybody but a lot of them at least on previous articles are the usual suspects.
TheSuperMex
TheSuperMex - 9/5/2022, 3:40 PM
@mountainman - lol it’s always a free speech issue. Guess what opinions can be criticized. The show is comedy and the character of She-Hulk always dealt with comedy. Read more than wiki.
mountainman
mountainman - 9/5/2022, 3:47 PM
@TheSuperMex - I didn’t mention free speech. Not sure why you would detail into a separate topic. I just pointed that out since some folks always seem upset when people criticize something they like as if they are unable to handle contrary opinions.

By the way, I started reading Marvel comics in 1988. I was mostly into the X books though. Never liked the Avengers so I rarely came across She Hulk. I get that she has been a joke character. I just don’t like this show. It’s not for me. I bowed out before episode 3 and, after I saw that this was a thing, I’m quite happy that I did.

Once again, you can continue to watch and enjoy. I won’t hate you for doing so. Don’t hate me because I think it’s cringe and unfunny,
