SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW Confirmed To Feature An Appearance From [SPOILER]

The creative team behind She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have stressed that the show isn't going to be too focused on cameos from other Marvel Comics characters, but a surprising rumor that a certain someone might show up did the rounds late last year, and their involvement has now been confirmed.

It's not Ghost Rider; it's not The Thing, and it's definitely not Mephisto! In fact, it's they're not technically a character at all. Spoilers follow.

According to The Cut, an upcoming episode of She-Hulk will indeed feature an appearance from best-selling recording artist Megan Thee Stallion. There's no mention of the nature of her role, but it's assumed that the rapper will be playing herself.

This would mark Stallion's first foray into acting, but she did recently sign a first-look deal at Netflix to create and executive produce multiple shows, and she's also set to star in A24's upcoming musical, F*cking Identical Twins.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao. Co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.

I did not expect anything, and I'm still disappointed.

@TheyDont - I was really hoping it was going to be Tim Blake Nelson back as The Leader or at the very least another Marvel character, but this....

@VictorAlonzo - At this point, MARVEL KNOWS THEY ARE FULL OF 💩!!!

SPOILER ALERT: This is an intricate ploy to eradicate my production variant. No more pus🐈fication of our beloved heroes, or a goddamn 🌈 product placement in the midst of a story for no other reason than to give a 🧚‍♀️ their 🦚 & ✂️ subliminal nods.

When watching the dumpster fire that was episode 2, the one thing I was thinking was "this might actually be decent if Megan thee stallion shows up."

@Origame - You haven't answeted the question. What do you find lacking? Be objective.

@ScottSummers - fine. Jokes. There's objectively a lack of jokes in comparison to other mcu projects, despite being the only mcu property that's considered a comedy.

On top of that, from a subjective level (because art is subjective), the "jokes" aren't funny.

@Origame - agreed. It's kinda shocking how unfunny this "comedy" has been thus far.
ScottSummers
ScottSummers - 8/30/2022, 12:52 AM
@Origame - So first it's that the MCU is focusing on too much humor. Now that there is a legitimately interesting character with ties to major MCU players, and is actually moving the plot forward, while providing insight into past unanswered questions, and further developing existing characters, there's not enough jokes.

Which is it? People need to make up your minds.

@ScottSummers - 1) dude, it's a comedy. I might not like the comedic direction of the mcu, but if you're gonna make a comedy then add jokes that are funny.

2) you think the woman comparing the trauma Bruce banner went through to f@#$ing cat calling is an interesting character? On top of that, she only has a connection to one major mcu player, which was true from the conceptual level with she hulk.

3) ...you think she was moving the plot forward? 🤣

How? All that stuff with the sakaar ship she just ignores because it's so bad she's a superhero now. All that stuff about being a superhero she runs away from. The job with the superhero law firm just fell into her lap. She was forced by the firm to represent abomination. Literally the only things she did to move the plot forward is save Bruce (which anyone would do in that situation) and fight titania (which she had to be coaxed into doing by her friend).

I’m kinda disappointed in MCU content lately, doesn’t seem to be as exciting like it used to be.

I didn’t think I’d miss the original Avengers this much :(
And all the hype back then, when everything seemed epic and unexpected.
Hope we get at least one more Winter Soldier-like movie from Marvel soon.
