The creative team behind She-Hulk: Attorney at Law have stressed that the show isn't going to be too focused on cameos from other Marvel Comics characters, but a surprising rumor that a certain someone might show up did the rounds late last year, and their involvement has now been confirmed.
It's not Ghost Rider; it's not The Thing, and it's definitely not Mephisto! In fact, it's they're not technically a character at all. Spoilers follow.
According to The Cut, an upcoming episode of She-Hulk will indeed feature an appearance from best-selling recording artist Megan Thee Stallion. There's no mention of the nature of her role, but it's assumed that the rapper will be playing herself.
This would mark Stallion's first foray into acting, but she did recently sign a first-look deal at Netflix to create and executive produce multiple shows, and she's also set to star in A24's upcoming musical, F*cking Identical Twins.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows Jennifer Walters as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk. The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass and Renée Elise Goldsberry. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao. Co-executive producers are Wendy Jacobson and Jennifer Booth.
