SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW TV Spot Makes It Clear Jennifer Walters Is A Lawyer...Not A Superhero!

Marvel Studios has released a new TV spot for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law that sees Jennifer Walters reject the superhero lifestyle her cousin, The Hulk, seemingly wants for her. Check it out right here...

A new TV spot for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has been released, featuring more never-before-seen footage from the Disney+ series. Jennifer Walters clearly isn't overjoyed with her newfound powers and wants to continue being a lawyer instead of heading down the same superhero route as her famous cousin (who's now being referred to as "He-Hulk" on social media).

Something tells us Jennifer will have embraced her sensational new destiny as the heroic She-Hulk once all is said and done, and based on past experience, she probably won't "suit up" until nearer the finale.

The relationship between Jennifer and Bruce Banner looks set to be a highlight, and during an interview with Screen Rant last month, star Tatiana Maslany teased how that dynamic will play out. "They're cousins, obviously. Bruce basically tries to take Jen under his wing and teach her how to be a Hulk, and Jen's like, 'Go away. Stop, I'm not going to be a superhero.'"

"There's an antagonistic thing they have. They love each other very much, and they're actually very close, but this is a bridge too far," the actor continued. "She's not interested in this. It was really fun to play that dynamic with Mark."

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law follows the hero as she navigates the complicated life of a single, 30-something attorney who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.

The nine-episode series welcomes a host of MCU vets, including Mark Ruffalo as Smart Hulk, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky/the Abomination, and Benedict Wong as Wong. Along with Matthews, the supporting cast also includes Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon Bass, and Renée Elise Goldsberry.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premieres on Disney+ on Thursday, August 18.

I don't blame her for being reluctant. Juggling being a lawyer and a superhero probably sounds exhausting.

So then why make it a point that she's better than Bruce?

@Killuminatic - @Origame can’t handle it when women aren’t subservient. Dude probably takes Andrew Tate seriously.

@Origame - they clearly didn't and I would have a long look at yourself and your own insecurities if you felt they did. You clearly missed the story they are telling in those shots.

@TheSuperMex - that must be why I love Alita battle angel. Because I can't handle if women aren't subservient.

@Itwasme - so her throwing the rock farther than hulk wasn't her being better? Or doing the more complicated yoga? Or smashing the cliff with clearly more force? Or her doing a stronger thunder clap?
TheNZNatural
TheNZNatural - 8/4/2022, 5:34 PM
@Origame - 1) he lobs the rock with a casual wrist-flick. She heaves hers like a shotput.
2) In the first teaser it showed Jen doing yoga as Jen, so if she has been doing it for years wouldn't be hypocritical of you to assume Bruce should be better?
3) See (1).
4) We see her do a Thunderclap, not a better one as we don't see his.
This is the exact problem with your mob is that you don't pay attention to the details. You're prime dog-whistle bait and you fall for it every time because you can't see the forest for the trees.
Someone riles you up so easily over a lie and then claim it's the other side that has an agenda.
Itwasme
Itwasme - 8/4/2022, 7:05 PM
@Origame - clearly you missed very basic points of that scene. Hulk literally didn't put any effort into throwing the Boulder. He did it one handed and not even looking. She put her entire effort into it, even using both hands.

You're also missing the point of the yoga scene. He's explaining to her the importance of balance and of the mind-body connection. The point is to hold the actually fairly simple pose to find that connection. She's impatient and can't be bothered to. She's not even doing yoga, she's doing gymnastics. She's totally missing his message because she's showing off.

He's even saying she has more to learn and she does the thunder clap and the cliff. He's not trying to compete with her and she's saying I don't need you to tell me what to do.

Hulk is literally not even trying, but you are too insecure to pay attention to the story told. This is 100% a you problem.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 7:28 PM
@TheNZNatural - 1) they clearly used the same effort.
2) what she did was ridiculously advanced. Just doing casual yoga doesn't mean you can pull off those moves. Also, hulk teaching that to her implies he has been practicing yoga as a hulk. Which means he has more experience with a bulkier body like that.
3) see one.
4) dude, we blatantly saw him do the thunder clap. Now you're just feigning ignorance.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 7:30 PM
@Itwasme - ok, Mr missingthepoint. If that's what was actually going on, then why include it at all if not to communicate she's better? In fact there's even a part where Bruce says he's jealous.
Itwasme
Itwasme - 8/4/2022, 7:44 PM
@Origame - what are you even talking about? You even told this guy "they put in the same effort." If you are reading anything else from what they showed then that's a you problem. This is honestly embarrasing for you and instead of taking a step back to look at this rationally, you are digging in your heals. "They put in the same effort, they clearly showed him doing the thunder clap"... come on man.

The whole point of the training is because she's going to neglect what Hulk is trying to teach her and she's going to pay the consequences for that. It's pretty obvious.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 8:09 PM
@Itwasme - dude, f@#$ you. I know what I f@#$ing saw. They are clearly putting in the same effort. And yes, hulk did do the Thunder clap. Marvel is even tweeting about how it's the first time hulk does the thunder clap since 2008 WITH SCREENSHOTS! On top of that, they have the hulk commenting that he's jealous of she hulk in one of the trailers. Come on. The intention is clear. In fact it's so clear I guarantee that it'll be confirmed in the show she's stronger than the hulk.
Itwasme
Itwasme - 8/4/2022, 8:26 PM
@Origame - go watch the trailer. You just keep digging yourself deeper in this hole. Try listening to Hulk's very words because you could use the lessons he's teaching as much as Jen.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 8:31 PM
@Itwasme - he literally says the point is to prepare her for life as a hulk, because these powers put a target on her back. Here's the f@#$ing clip you piece of sh!t.

Now suck on that, especially since his ground pound here in the actual clip has hulk giving a noticeable grunt while she hulk doesn't grunt yet does more damage. Now kindly f@#$ right off as you've been thoroughly busted.
TheNZNatural
TheNZNatural - 8/4/2022, 8:49 PM
@Origame - you're delusional, and you should be angry at the people who made you like this, not the people who see what you can't anymore.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 9:05 PM
@TheNZNatural - dude, they literally said in an interview on the relationship between Bruce and Jennifer, "Bruce gets thrown off his game of thinking that he's the teacher and realizing very quickly, she has things to teach him".

And yes, I should be mad at the people who made me this way. In other words, Hollywood's terrible agenda pushing writing and a$$holes like you who encourage it.
Itwasme
Itwasme - 8/4/2022, 9:25 PM
@Origame - you think those lessons are about her strength? You're missing the entire point Hulk is talking about. So, you know that Hulk put all his strength when he jumped there... sure. He's teaching her how to be a Hulk and her point is she doesn't think she needs to learn any of it.

Gee.... I wonder if that's going to come back around on her. Hmmm....

You're clearly beyond gone here. Have fun in life, it's gonna be a hard one.
TheNZNatural
TheNZNatural - 8/4/2022, 9:27 PM
@Origame - ahh, so it's not the false examples of her being better that clearly aren't true, you just don't agree with the concept of being able to learn from other people from their perspectives? Got it.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 9:29 PM
@Itwasme - dude, I even provided a quote where the whole point is Bruce thinks he can teach her stuff when the opposite is true. What more do you f@#$ing need?
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 9:32 PM
@TheNZNatural - ...you really think she hulk has any valuable information about being hulk WHEN SHE JUST BECAME HULK than the guy who's been hulk for 15 years canonically? And come on. This is blatantly saying Bruce has nothing valuable to teach, as shown from the trailer.
Itwasme
Itwasme - 8/4/2022, 9:35 PM
@Origame - nothing. The quote means nothing too. "Teacher also has something to learn from pupil" is nothing new. These types of stories are so common they are clichéd and yet you get triggered into thinking this is some sort of women are better than men thing.

Clearly you have nothing to learn in your life. You're living under a rainbow over there getting triggered over every single thing you see because of your warped sense of the world. It's gonna do wonders for you, I can already tell.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 9:39 PM
@Itwasme - ok, f@#$ it. I am so confident that this is how the show is gonna play out that I'm saving this link so I can come back and laugh at you hysterically when they clearly make she hulk better than hulk. Bruce will flat out admit Jennifer is better than her in every way and you'll probably say something like, "well he probably doesn't mean every way".
Itwasme
Itwasme - 8/4/2022, 9:43 PM
@Origame - have fun with that. You'll definitely try to spin this in whatever way you want. I will gladly bet you $$ there will be a point in this show where Jennifer regrets/loses because she didn't listen to the lessons Hulk was trying to teach her. Stories have conflict, it's pretty clear that's part of the conflict they are setting up.
Origame
Origame - 8/4/2022, 9:49 PM
@Itwasme - well I've skinned nothing so far. That's been you my dude. Bruce literally explains he's teaching she hulk to use her powers to defend herself, and you spin it to be some complicated lesson about balance just because one lesson involved balance.

And I agree. Stories have conflict. And this story isn't gonna have any. Because that wouldn't make her the Mary Sue they clearly want her to be. This is captain marvel all over again.
