Polaris & Eclipse
When we last saw Emma Dumont and Sean Teale’s characters, Polaris had used her abilities to take down a plane and kill its passengers, joining the likes of the Stepford Cuckoos and leaving her significant other behind. How the couple will deal with this schism and Lorna’s pregnancy remains to be seen.
The Strucker Kids
During the first few episodes of The Gifted it seemed as if Andy and Lauren Strucker were just ordinary mutants, but as the season unfolded we quickly learned about the Strucker family history and The Fenris Twins, who like Andy and Lauren could combine their abilities to disastrous effect. That said, it may be a while before the two team up, as Andy is currently with Polaris and The Hellfire Club.
Reed & Caitlin
Despite facing a number of hardships, the heads of the Strucker family may have actually seen their relationship grow stronger, as they adapted to their new status as fugitives. However, with Andy going rogue they will likely face new challenges.
Blink & Thunderbird
After beginning the first season as a reluctant member of the Mutant Underground, Blink eventually embraced her role after tragedy struck close to home and even started a romantic relationship with Thunderbird toward the end of the season. However, whether we'll see another one of Clarice's relationships affected by the mutant hate group the Purifiers, remains to be seen.
The Stepford Cuckoos & Jace Turner
As part of a series that seemed loosely connected to the X-Men and the Brotherhood, Skyler Samuels role as The Stepford Cuckoos Esme, Sophie and Phoebe wound up be a big surprise, especially since she helped introduce the Hellfire Club and hinted at popular characters like Emma Frost and Magneto himself.
The 20th Century Fox Television/Marvel series picks up after the explosion of the Atlanta Station. The Mutant Underground search for their friends and family who left with The Inner Circle. Having tracked them outside of Washington, D.C., they must contend with new groups with extreme ideologies, both human and mutant alike, to stave off a brewing conflict.
