With just days to go until WandaVision arrives on Disney+, Marvel Studios is pulling out all the stops to remind fans to tune in. That's probably why we've now got the first in what's likely a new series of character posters focusing on the show's impressive cast. First up? Kathryn Hahn's Agnes.
Described as a "nosy neighbor," not much is known about the character, but the prevailing theory is that she's really Agatha Harkness, a witch and ally to Wanda Maximoff in the comic books (and someone who might be manipulating her for a bigger threat like Nightmare or Mephisto). That's pure speculation, though, and not based on any concrete information!
Time will tell how WandaVision plays out and how it ties into wider plans for this shared world, but the first wave of responses to the show have been overwhelmingly positive.
In my reaction, I called WandaVision "one of the craziest, cleverest things [Marvel Studios] has done." Rohan Patel, meanwhile, adds that, "The first three episodes are unlike anything Marvel has ever attempted before."
WandaVision is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The series is directed by Matt Shakman, with Jac Schaeffer as head writer. Running for nine episodes, the show premieres on January 15th, 2021.
