WANDAVISION Deleted Scene Suggests Agatha Harkness Remains Trapped In The Scarlet Witch's Sitcom

A new WandaVision deleted scene shows more of what came next for Agatha Harkness after she was trapped in her mind by the Scarlet Witch, but is the villain still somehow part of a sitcom? Check it out!

In the closing moments of WandaVision, the Scarlet Witch defeated Agatha Harkness and used her reality-warping powers to trap the villain in her "Agnes" persona.

It was a strange, open-ended conclusion for the character and one which left us to wonder whether Agatha remained in Westview or was taken into custody for her role in what happened there. Now, a new WandaVision deleted scene offers a glimpse at what came next for the witch.

As you can see below, a police officer approaches "Agnes" to check she's okay, prompting her to flirt with him...to the sound of a studio audience cheering her on. This appears to suggest she's trapped in a sitcom (in her mind at least), leaving Agatha in a bizarre purgatory, of sorts.

Shortly after WandaVision concluded, Kathryn Hahn shared her thoughts on the villain's final fate.

"I think it’s kind of the worst," she said. "I actually do think it’s kind of the worst. I mean, to clip her wings and put her somewhere like that with boring people and not have anything to do. It’s the worst, it’s a nightmare. Yeah. I mean, [Wanda] basically lobotomized her."

"I say like, 'You’re cruel. You have no idea what you’re doing.' Yeah, by the very end, I’m like, 'You have no idea what you brought.' I’m really trying to get her to understand the ramifications," Hahn continued. "By the end, this girl has no idea what she’s doing."

It's been widely theorised that the apparent demise of the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be what breaks the spell and frees Agatha from her mental prison. However, she's likely to be powerless and will then have to track down Billy Maximoff to regain her access to magic.

In related news, we've learned that the upcoming WandaVision 4K SteelBook - which arrives on November 28 - will also include a Gag Reel and a featurette titled, "Through the Eras" which sees the cast and crew discuss the sitcom eras of the series.

Check out this new deleted scene in the Tweet/X below.

WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, and was the first series from Marvel Studios to stream exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Yeaaa, no one cares, like at all. Will be another marvels, a tertiary character no one knows or cares about. This should be dumped, scrapped, along with Echo. Whom thought this was a good idea,mcu needs to bring the original avengers back. Will tank big.

@cubichy - don't think it's necessary to dumb them all together, but they could've just made them special presentations. Same with Wonder Man

@bkmeijer1 - Most of the shows would have probably been better off as special presentations. We’ve all noticed how many of them feel padded out to increase episode count.

But that doesn’t benefit the streaming business model. More content is supposed to lead to more subscribers.

@mountainman - yeah, bit unfortunate that seemed to be one of the driving forces.

Do hope they're going back to the drawing board with some of the characters. Marvel Studios can make them entertaining/interesting just as much in in less screentime.

Ms. Marvel, Agatha, Ironheart, Echo, Wonder Man, Okoye (i.e. that Wakanda show) and Vision all work better as one-off specials imo. Same with Zombies, they should just make that one long tv movie instead of four seperate episodes.

Should have led directly to West Coast Avengers as a way to capitulation on the concepts and elevate the characters. That would've been the Hawkeye movie as well as a second Avengers franchise, and a means of properly introducing key players and elements

@ProfessorWhy - * capitalize, not capitulation

Jesus H Christmas.

This might be the gold star example of screwing the pooch with endless irrelevant nonsense content.

The highlight of it was that Munsters ripoff riff - for a total of 90 seconds.

The further this is from WandaVision - it's about to be THREE YEARS btw - the worse this will look.

Ms. Marvel will be the M*A*S*H* Finale compared to this.

The Agatha show....

@marvel72 - The fact that it's on it's third show-name (Agatha: House of Harkness, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries) should be an indication of just how fragile the entire concept has become since the House-Of-Kevin started it's collapse. 🤨

If they silently sh!tcanned this irrelevant show & never told anyone, would anyone even care or notice?

@DocSpock - Exactly,I think they don't even have faith in their own shit.

@DocSpock -

I’m still on the fence as to whether this is an intentional self sabotage. It’s an experiment for sure, but I don’t know how they don’t see the reasons for their failure.

No TV is necessary but this could be fun so still looking forward to watching, even if it turns out meh Aubrey Plaza alongside Kathryn Hahn is enough reason for me to give it a shot alone.

All Agatha has to do is get back to her basement where her protective hex exists and then she will no longer be under Wanda's influence. This could be interesting.
