What better way to ring in the New Year than with some good ol' fashioned ass-kicking? The fight for the valley is set to begin when Cobra Kai returns for its fourth season on Netflix on December 31.
Accompanying the premiere date announcement was a new trailer, which teases the high-stakes All Valley Tournament.
If you recall, Season 3 of the hit show ended with the unlikely alliance between longtime rivals Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. With John Kreese now in firm control of Cobra Kai, Daniel's Miyagi-Do and Johnny’s Eagle Fang must join forces. But as we see in the trailer, the two will have to overcome some differences in philosophy if this alliance is to work.
Surely, there's some middle ground between Johnny's strike first mentality and Daniel's more conservative, measured and organized approach? How they find that compromise will surely result in some comedic moments between the two.
As we see in the trailer, though, Daniel and Johnny aren't the only ones teaming up. Following his whooping at the end of Season 3, Kreese has called Terry Silver, his old army buddy (and the main antagonist of The Karate Kid Part III). Of course, there are a bunch of other underlying storylines that will be addressed in the new season, including Robby's training with Cobra Kai, Miguel and Sam's seemingly rekindled relationship, Hawk's switch in dojo, and plenty more excitement.
Cobra Kai Season 4 is set to premiere on Netflix on December 31. On a related note, we also got a new look at Stranger Things Season 4, which returns next year.
