THE WITCHER: BLOOD ORIGIN Spoilers: Here's How The Post-Credits Scene Sets Up THE WITCHER Season 3

The Witcher: Blood Origin premieres on Netflix tomorrow, December 25, but if you're anxious to learn how a post-credits scene sets the stage for The Witcher's return next year, we have you guys covered...

The Witcher: Blood Origin hasn't exactly received positive reviews, somewhat lessening excitement for the four-part prequel series before it hits Netflix tomorrow.

While it's obviously completely unrelated to Marvel, the show will have a post-credits scene and, as you might expect, it sets the stage for The Witcher season 3 ahead of its return next summer. Needless to say, major spoilers for the show follow from this point on!

Still with us? Well, according to Redanian Intelligence (via SFFGazette.com), the scene kicks off with reused footage of Freya Allan as Ciri from The Witcher season 1. Showing us the familiar sight of her dressed as a boy playing with Cintra's peasants, the camera turns to reveal that she's being watched by Samuel Blenkin's Avallac'h.

He's travelled through space and time to get there, and is standing in the exact spot Geralt later does.

The assumption is that Avallac'h has gone straight to this crucial moment from where we last saw him in the spin-off (his clothes are the same), likely meaning Blenkin reprises the role in season 3. We'd expected an older version to show up, but this obviously goes a long way in building connectivity between the two shows.

It should also go some way in helping increase interest in Blood Origin, even if it's much further down the line! We also can't help but wonder whether more familiar faces could appear.

"The young mage Avallac'h reacted swiftly to save Merwyn from an assassination attempt, which lands him a position as her bodyguard," reads a previously released official description of the character. "He also works to help her better understand the monoliths, making a surprising discovery about how they function."

"Avallac'h is a skilled combat mage, though he lacks the raw power of Balor or the knowledge of Zacaré."

We're definitely intrigued to learn what this scene is leading to and how it will impact season 3. As noted, that's currently scheduled to arrive next summer, and will mark Henry Cavill's departure as Geralt of Rivia before Liam Hemsworth takes over the role in season 4.

Will you be spending Christmas Day watching The Witcher: Blood Origin?

@OriginalGusto1 - I have a ride home! Unless my Uber Driver takes me out in the middle of nowhere, does unspeakable things to me, and says Merry Christmas as he leaves me stranded. I'm not too worried about that, as it's only happened twice, since I started using that app. Merry Christmas to you as well Buddy!

@BigPhilbowski - Irish is a race?
BigPhilbowski
BigPhilbowski - 12/26/2022, 3:34 AM
@OriginalGusto1 - yes. Since 2001 we've been classed as a distinct ethnic group since we share different ancestors to most other white nations. So yeah. Your bs drinking jokes are the exact same thing as making jokes about black poeple and chicken etc. So yeah, go [frick] yourself you racist piece of shit.
OriginalGusto1
OriginalGusto1 - 12/26/2022, 4:22 AM
@BigPhilbowski - That's an ethnicity. Not a race.

BigPhilbowski
BigPhilbowski - 12/26/2022, 4:45 AM
@OriginalGusto1 - "Race: A concept used to describe a group of people who share physical characteristics, such as skin color and facial features. They may also share similar social or cultural identities and ancestral backgrounds"

Again, Irish share physical traits, based on their ancestors, that most of white world don't.

So yeah. You're being racist. But do whatever mental gymnastics you want. You're being a racist in the same way mocking someone for being a Muslim or for cultural practices etc is racist.

@BigPhilbowski -

The Irish (Irish: Muintir na hÉireann or Na hÉireannaigh) are an ethnic group and nation native to the island of Ireland, who share a common history and culture. There have been humans in Ireland for about 33,000 years, and it has been continually inhabited for more than 10,000 years (see Prehistoric Ireland).

BigPhilbowski - 12/27/2022, 10:37 AM
@TruePunishment - let me guess. A yank with someone 5 generations ago who was in your family came from Ireland and has never stepped foot over here. Actual Irish people hate and are sick of all this BS such as the drinking jokes or leprechaun comments. Again, shit like that, aimed at any other ethnic group would be banned for racism. But no, the Irish should just take it as a joke. You're as ignorant as the other clown.

I...kinda wanted to watch this for Michelle Yeoh, but the more I see of it, the less I want to watch it. Really not even sure I'm gonna bother with season 3 of the main show. Both shows look ass.

Also, definitely better than the other Asian battle royale game show

The show told quite a generic story (even if it had characters trying to tell us otherwise), but I like that atleast one good character carried over.
