Showtime has finally released the official trailer for Dexter: New Blood, the upcoming ten-episode limited series revival of their acclaimed Golden Globe-winning drama Dexter, which is set to premiere on November 7.
Golden Globe-winner Michael C. Hall will reprise his role as the titular serial killer, with original showrunner Clyde Phillips also back to steer the ship. Fellow original cast member Jennifer Carpenter will also be back as Debra Morgan, albeit this time playing a figment of her brother's imagination.
The supporting main cast will consist of Clancy Brown (Thor: Ragnarok; Justice League) as the primary antagonist Kurt Caldwell, Julia Jones (The Mandalorian; Westworld) as his new love interest Angela Bishop, Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love; Jane the Virgin) as Logan, Johnny Sequoyah (Believe; American Housewife) as Audrey, Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird; The Blacklist) as Harrison Morgan/Randall, and David Magidoff (The Morning Show; American Crime Story) as Teddy.
Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country; The Gifted), Oscar Wahlberg (NOS4A2; Manchester by the Sea), and Michael Cyril Creighton (Spotlight; Game Night) will also appear in undisclosed recurring roles. John Lithgow will also appear in a cameo appearance as the Trinity Killer.
As expected, the new miniseries isn't expected to retcon anything from the original show, but will instead pick up sometime after the events of the controversial series finale as "Jim Lindsay" finds himself feeling that specific itch once again. The trailer also reveals that he will be getting an unexpected surprise when Harrison Morgan (Jack Alcott) - a.k.a. the son he abandoned - shockingly tracks him down in his self-imposed exile, with plenty of questions.
