In the penultimate episode of Ahsoka, we got another Anakin Skywalker appearance, this time with Hayden Christensen reprising the role in a training hologram aboard Ahsoka Tano's ship.
The hero tells Huyang that these words of wisdom are from the final message the Jedi left his Padawan. Reminding her that she'll "face more than just droids" during The Clone Wars, we watch as Anakin reels off the names of lightsaber-wielding baddies such as General Grievous, Count Dooku...and Asajj Ventress.
For fans of the latter character, this was a huge moment because it's the first time she's been named in a live-action project.
The character developed a significant fan following after first appearing in 2008's The Clone Wars movie. She'd later appear in the TV series of the same name and was revealed as a former member of the Nightsisters of Dathomir, the sinister witches who have been taking centre stage in Ahsoka courtesy of The Great Mothers and Morgan Elsbeth.

Zeb Orrelios' Absence From The Star Wars Rebels Follow-Up
Trained in the ways of the Dark Side by Count Dooku, she was a crucial part of The Clone Wars' first five seasons but later vanished. 2015 novel Star Wars: Dark Disciple adapted an 8-episode arc meant for the show's final season (which was ultimately shortened and released on Disney+). However, her fans have been left wanting more.
It's worth noting that Ventress is supposed to be dead at this point in the Star Wars timeline but, as we saw in Tales of the Jedi with Ahsoka's episodes, Dave Filoni has no qualms about retconning what we've read on the page if the story calls for it!
Could she be residing on Peridea or is the former villain - who later found some level of redemption - being teed up for a live-action debut in a future story? We won't be banking on it, but plenty of Star Wars fans are already going nuts about what was ultimately a simple, albeit awesome, name-drop.
