While we'd hoped to see Din Djarin in The Book of Boba Fett, an entire episode devoted to the bounty hunter was definitely a pleasant surprise. Next, it was Grogu's turn to step back into the spotlight as we got to follow his training with Luke Skywalker, and that episode featured another shock in the form of Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano finally crossing paths with Anakin Skywalker's son.

The actress recently took to social media to share her reaction to being able to work with Mark Hamill, revealing that it wasn't until the day she arrived on set that her iconic co-star was revealed.

Ahsoka is set to begin shooting this April, and you have to believe there's a chance we'll get to see more of Luke there. Either way, it's already been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin (remember, Tano's series is going to be set after the events of Return of the Jedi), so the Skywalker Saga is going to be referenced in some way. Whether that's through flashbacks or a Force Ghost remains to be seen, but the show is expected to primarily be a Star Wars Rebels "sequel."

We're excited for the eventual Disney Gallery episode focusing on The Book of Boba Fett, because the work that went into bringing Luke back for the series was nothing short of phenomenal. After the way he was treated in the Star Wars sequels, fans hope to see more of the Jedi Knight due to feeling he's in need of redemption, but if this is it for a while, a meeting with Ahsoka will suffice!

@grif - I do think it was a mistake to bring him back so soon. Should've come back in season 4. Mando just look kinda irresponsible now taking a mostly defenceless baby on all these dangerous missions for no reason other than he's his adoptive Dad now I guess.

I can't wait to see their first meeting. Hopefully is in the Ahsoka show.

At some point, Star Wars needs to move forward. I love me some Luke, Leia and Vader as much as the next wookie but new stories should be told onscreen.

@rychlec - the reason they are doing that is because the actors portraying those original trilogy characters are one foot in the door of death, once they are gone that's it. We can't go back and use those characters. Mark Hamill, James Earl Jones, Harrison Ford, Disney wants to use them and keep their characters alive.

You can always do new things with new characters later, but you can't go back to these original trilogy actors once they pass away. They are old and don't have much time left.

Don't worry, there will be new stuff later.

@Timerider84 - With the way this Luke tech is going, they will be making Luke Skywalker content regardless of whether they have Hamil or not!! LOL!

@Timerider84 - Carrie Fisher had already passed when 'Rogue One' and Episode IX were filmed and released.
