Yesterday, Disney released Ludwig Göransson's "Main Theme" for The Book of Boba Fett. It's a terrific piece of music (you can listen to it here), but upon closer inspection, it may feature a huge tease about what's to come in this series. Starting at the 1:49 mark, the Crimson Dawn theme from Solo: A Star Wars Story can quite clearly be heard.
This piece was composed by John Powell (with help from John Williams), and could be confirmation that Emilia Clarke will reprise the role of Qi'ra in the Disney+ show. Failing that, it seems likely we'll see the return of other Crimson Dawn members to plague Lord Fett as he attempts to gain control of Tatooine.
Maul may be dead (he was killed in Star Wars Rebels), but his ties to the Mandalorians and Tatooine would be easy to pick up on here. Fett even has a history with Qi'ra after the recent Marvel Comics "War of the Bounty Hunters" event that saw Han Solo, frozen in Carbonite at the time, stolen from the bounty hunter. Fett ultimately infiltrated Crimson Dawn and learned Qi'ra was responsible.
He'd eventually retrieve Solo, but not before vowing to kill Han's first love. They've not crossed paths on the page since, so a clash in The Book of Boba Fett is a strong possibility.
That wasn't the Crimson Dawn logo those thugs burned into the homestead they attacked in the post-Return of the Jedi flashbacks, but what we see in the past doesn't necessarily have to factor into the present day. There, Fett was attacked by assassins who might just be reporting to Qi'ra...
