THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT Spoiler Stills Take Us Back To Tatooine Alongside "Lord Fett"

Disney+ has released a handful of new stills from today's episode of The Book of Boba Fett, most of which put the spotlight on the bounty hunter's attempts to rule Tatooine as "Lord Fett." Check them out!

The first chapter of The Book of Boba Fett hit Disney+ this morning, and while there may not have been an internet-breaking reveal on the same level as The Child, we do have lots to discuss!

This first batch of spoiler stills from "Stranger in a Strange Land" don't give too much away if you haven't had a chance to tune in yet, though we do see plenty more of Fett and master assassin Fennec Shand on Tatooine. They're attempting to pick up where Jabba the Hutt and Bib Fortuna left off, but that's not going to be easy, especially with Mos Espa's Mayor opposing Fett's rule.

That character's identity hasn't been revealed yet, though there are plenty of theories doing the rounds online. He (or she) certainly sounds villainous in nature, and could be a new creation or a familiar face from the past. If it's the latter, then they might be from the Expanded Universe canon, another story that's been told in the comic books, or even something like The Clone Wars

We'll have to wait and see, but the series is clearly taking a slow burn approach with The Book of Boba Fett's story.

"Boba Fett is back, better, and cooler than ever," we said in our review, "and while the premiere is slow to reveal where the show is taking us, Temuera Morrison's intense, gripping work offers hope for a series that will take this story 40 years in the making to the heights it deserves."

It was only half way through watching this that it dawned on me that most of this will be taking place on tattoine. Man I’m sick of how small the Star Wars universe feels

Only disappointing thing about this episode to me was how short it was.

Decent first episode. I wonder how much of the season will be spent during his time between the Sarlac Pit and meeting Mando? He's definitely gonna do some sort of training / bonding with them if he's adopted their culture by the time we meet him in the Mandalorian.

I would like them to explain why Boba Fett wants to be a crime lord now. It can’t just be simple profit. We also know so little about Boba’s character in canon since most of his characterization is from when he was a child during the Clone Wars. The films didn’t give us much. And what we’ve been shown in this first episode strikes me as a very different character.

@Kurban - he doesn't, he's trying to get to the villain that did him wrong in the past. Once he shows himself, Fett will end it.

It's why they are showing the past and the present. Both stories will end with meeting him and killing him.

@Kurban - completely different character. He isn’t Fett at all anymore and they are gonna need to do a lot better in the narrative dept to convince me otherwise

They are telling two stories together that both will converge with meeting protagonist for the first time in the past, and the present day.

The nightmares are one story, and him in the present, both will run into the villain.
