There's a lot of excitement surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home (obviously), while tomorrow's episode of Hawkeye looks set to break the internet. That will then be it for the Marvel Cinematic Universe this year, but at the end of December, we're heading back to a Galaxy Far, Far Away.
The Book of Boba Fett promises to finally tell the story of this bounty hunter after Return of the Jedi, delving into both the fallout from that movie and the bounty hunter's appearance in The Mandalorian. That's exciting for a lot of reasons, and two new stills continue to tease Boba Fett's place in the Galaxy following the fall of the Empire (and before The First Order rises).
As well as unleashing his flamethrower here, Fett also takes his place on a throne inside Jabba the Hutt's palace. Something tells us that trying to rule over Tatooine won't be that easy, though.
The series stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Steph Green, and Kevin Tancharoen have all been confirmed to direct episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, but we don't know if any of the filmmakers will be pulling double duty or if there are still more to be announced in the weeks ahead.
The Book of Boba Fett finds the title bounty hunter and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. The show arrives on Disney+ on December 29.
