It was recently revealed that The Book of Boba Fett trailers and TV spots have only featured footage from the first half of the premiere. That's not dissimilar to how Lucasfilm marketed The Mandalorian (who'd have guessed the show would be about Din Djarin protecting "Baby Yoda"?), and we can't help but wonder whether this show will be vastly different to how it appears on the surface.
This latest TV spot features more of the same in terms of footage as the iconic bounty hunter attempts to solidify his claim on Tatooine. That's not to say anything here looks bad, of course, as even an entire series dedicated to exploring this Galaxy Far, Far Away's underworld would be welcomed.
Regardless of the direction The Book of Boba Fett takes us down, this exploration of the title character is one fans have been waiting for (talk of a movie began more than half a decade ago).
The series stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Steph Green, and Kevin Tancharoen have all been confirmed to direct episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, but we don't know if any of the filmmakers will be pulling double duty or if there are still more to be announced in the weeks ahead.
The Book of Boba Fett finds the title bounty hunter and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. The show arrives on Disney+ on December 29.
