THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT: War Comes To Tatooine In The Wake Of Jabba The Hutt's Death In New TV Spot

With a little over two weeks to go before The Book of Boba Fett arrives on Disney+, a new TV spot has been released that makes it clear the bounty hunter's attempt to control Tatooine won't be easy...

The Book of Boba Fett is fast approaching, and while the bounty hunter's rise up the ranks of the Star Wars Universe's criminal underworld may seem simple on the surface, it's anything but. Jabba the Hutt is dead, as is Bob Fortuna, but the power vacuum left by the crime lord on Tatooine appears to be proving itself harder to fill than Boba ever expected, and war is coming to the planet.

Disney's anti-hero take on Fett means he's not willing to rule by fear, but what if there's no other option? That's the challenge he'll seemingly face throughout the course of this upcoming series.

In terms of new footage, there are lots of snippets in this latest TV spot, but nothing too spoilery. Like The Mandalorian, it feels like the biggest surprises are being saved for when the show debuts.

The series stars Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.

Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dave Filoni, Steph Green, and Kevin Tancharoen have all been confirmed to direct episodes of The Book of Boba Fett, but we don't know if any of the filmmakers will be pulling double duty or if there are still more to be announced in the weeks ahead.

The Book of Boba Fett finds the title bounty hunter and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. The show arrives on Disney+ on December 29.

Thought Bryce Dallas Howard did a decent directing job with the Mandalorian. Looking forward to her episode here.

Tatooine isn't exactly my favorite planet in Star Wars, but i'm hoping this series explores something new that we haven't seen from it in the countless SW media
