ANDOR TV Spot Features More Of ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY's Returning Saw Gerrera

In the latest TV spot for Andor, we see more of Rogue One's Saw Garrera, along with plenty of familiar Star Wars imagery (including Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters). Check it out after the jump...

The first three episodes of Andor are now just a couple of short weeks away, and while there doesn't appear to be a huge amount of buzz surrounding the series, we don't think the Rogue One prequel will be one to miss.

This is evident from a newly released TV spot that features a lot of iconic Star Wars imagery (including Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters), and the return of Forest Whitaker's Saw Gerrera. Seeing him five years before the events of Rogue One should be very interesting, especially when there are still a lot of gaps in his story worth filling in as he heads down the path to fanaticism.

What you may not realise is that Saw's presence here set a major record.

He's one of only a handful of characters to have now appeared in a canon Star Wars movie, a video game, books, comics, every canon animated series, and now a Disney+ live-action series as well. George Lucas originally planned to use the character in his ambitious Star Wars Underworld TV series, so we hope he's happy seeing what an impact Saw has since had.

Andor explores a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved.

It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor and is joined by cast members Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Fiona Shaw. The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Tony Gilroy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is also the creator and showrunner.

Andor premieres on Disney+ with its first three episodes on September 21.

I think I might be in the minority: but I'm not really a fan of the character (in none of his appearances). However, I do look forward to seeing Whitaker in scenes with Skarsgard.

@bkmeijer1 - Yeah, I hear you, The character isn't a fav, but I'm definitely a fan of the actor. I feel alot was cut out from his Rogue One appearance, so hoping he does something good here. I still need to catch Godfather of Harlem.

Also....was @NateBest trolling the trolls with the article about comments being switched off?

@UniqNo - I've only seen the first season of Godfather of Harlem, and have yet to see the second. Both Whitaker and D'Onofrio are great in it though.

As for the comment thing, he did make some changes (just look at the disclaimer that's right above the comment box).

@bkmeijer1 - Yeah. Just went back and read the redit. Glad they haven't totally given up on it. I think it's the best feature on the site... just look at IMDB nowadays lol.

Ah I forgot D'Onofrio was there too. Its on the list.

@UniqNo - the temporary comment disabling happened a few times before already if I remember correctly. Doubt Nate'll give up on it completely.

And now that I think about it, Giancarlo Esposito's in GoH too
