OBI-WAN KENOBI May Have Another Significant Link To JEDI FALLEN ORDER Video Game - Possible SPOILERS

This latest Obi-Wan Kenobi leak offers more details on how the Disney+ series will tie into the Jedi Fallen Order video game, and it seems Lucasfilm is setting the stage for a lot of future stories...

We recently told you about Obi-Wan Kenobi's potential link to the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game, but Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com) has now provided a few more compelling insights.

So, Saw Garrera's Partisans are on a planet called Jabiim which was once a key fighting ground in the Clone Wars. Now, they're there protecting something, but what could it be? According to the site, there's a colony of Force-sensitive beings, and when Obi-Wan is approached by that young Jedi on Tatooine, it's to tell him that there's a potential new Jedi Order waiting in the wings to fight the Empire.

They're all in hiding due to Order 66, and it's said to be a possibility that Cal Kestis' mission to find those Force-sensitive children could tie into this somehow. Purge Troopers will be part of Obi-Wan Kenobi, of course, while it's now confirmed that the planet Nur will factor into this story (that's near Mustafar and is home to the Fortress Inquisitorius, a key location in Fallen Order).

As for this group of potential Jedi Knights, it sounds like most won't survive a run in with Darth Vader, his Purge Troopers, and the Sith Inquisitors. In other words, expect an absolute massacre in the show, but don't be surprised if some of these kids escape and live to fight another day.

They have cyber crystals, and Saw clearly believed he could topple the Empire with his own army of Jedi. That's a fascinating plot point, and one we expect to be expanded on somehow.

Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ on May 25.

For some reason that sounds like a fluke and the Jedi that comes looking for Obi-Wan is actually an Inquisitor (associate) trying to lure out Kenobi

I would love it if this was the plot

@Vigor - I would too, as would EA and Disney. Imagine working this into the show and then releasing DLC to tie it into the game.

I have zero clue what any of this means. lol

I understand the logic if milking the Skywalker Saga characters and the Filoni adjacent characters, but there is a whole underside of Star Wars fandom with stuff like Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Fallen Order and much much more that deserve just as much milking. I love the games, but now is the time to actually use Cameron Monaghan in a Disney+ show while he's young enough to be a bad ass Jedi, and while Debra Wilson is young enough to still resemble Cere Junda. I don't care that much about Andor, I want an Atton Rand show or a Brianna and the Handmaidens show. Or hell even a Revan. I'd love an animated anthology series which has 1 hour episodes that focuses on important events in STAR WARS past like, like the birth of the Sith, the first Jedi, the creation of the first lightsaber, you could even do self contained stories within that show like an episode that shows how Grogu was rescued from Order 66, or how Luke's lightsaber wound up in Orange alien ladies possession, or just significant small stories that don't fit in films or TV shows, but are important and visually captivating.

@ElricReturns - I'd be down for an anthology show like that. Same goes for the MCU. Both have a lot of interesting stories that wouldn't be told otherwise.

As for Cameron, it would be pretty dope if he shows up in the Kenobi show. Now that would be blow me away (did I just ruin the potential surprise with this anticipation though?)

@bkmeijer1 - dude, if at any point I see Cameron on screen and light up his lightsaber with BD on his shoulder, I'll shit myself.

I'd literally be 100% down for a Cal show, honestly.

@ElricReturns - me too. I think the next game might already focus on him actually finding force sensitive kids, but a companion show would be pretty sweet

@ElricReturns - Why would they give Cal a TV show if he already has a video game series?

@DaHyro - gee, idk, money? Like Batman or Superman or any character ever is only limited to one medium? Lol that's asinine. Luke Skywalker is in videogames and movies and tv shows and animation and comics..... why wouldn't Cal? If it's good, why not? Why wouldn't they give him a show? There is obviously fan demand for him to appear in other things.... here we are, see.

Gee, I cant [frick]ing image a single reason why....

@ElricReturns - Bwcause he already has an ongoing storyline.

Luke got multiple projects after his main one was finished; not only that, but it was decades later.

@DaHyro - look at Saw who appeared on Clone Wars and Rogue One, or Cade Bane who has appeared in Comics, Animated and now live action. As the films are happening they always have comics and novels to expand more on characters. It literally happens all the time with this franchise.

The idea of more Jedi kind of defeats the purpose of the original trilogy. None were alive. Yet somehow we have Ahsoka, Kal, Ezra, and others still alive and doing well despite not helping Obi Wan Kenobi or Luke during Vader's reign.

@SonOfAGif - I honestly kind of find it funny now. If the Jedi pulled their finger out they could probably march like… 20 strong at Vader and then the Palpatine but nope, gotta wait for this one kid to get old enough, he’s the ONLY chance we have haha.
ElricReturns
ElricReturns - 3/27/2022, 7:38 AM
@Twenty23Three - the idea is that Palpatine so completely made it unsafe for Jedi that survival required the few survivors to scatter across the galaxy, and that those remaining few had also been defeated emotionally. Most of the surviving Jedi even try to move on from being Jedi, feeling the Sith had won.

It was Yodas hail marry preminition in the force to hide the twins as they would be a new hope, not exactly the universes only hope. And they certainly never did it alone or without help.

It wasn't a matter of pulling fingers. They were psychologically decimated so completely by Anakins betrayal and Order 66 that the few who lived would never go at Vader like that.

@ElricReturns - and I’m sure that was the plan all along. Definitely not just throw in a person with a lightsaber every time they get a chance
SonOfAGif
SonOfAGif - 3/27/2022, 4:19 PM
@ElricReturns - Eh, I find that concept hard to believe currently. Prior to the video games and shows and movies that was definitely the concept. But you have Rebels where the Inquisitors we're owned by Ahsoka, Ezra, Maul, and others. You have Ahsoka somehow hunting down Grand Admiral Thrawn and Kal Kestis finding Jedi Youngling and eliminating Vader's chance at the Jedi Holocron. So at this point you have Ahsoka, Ezra, Obi Wan (old), Kal Kestis, Cere, and the rebellion. Those Jedi are so OP and seasoned that them teaming up with Luke and Leia would have slaughtered Vader and Palpatine. It's bizarre how past depictions of Jedi showing them obliterate the Inquisitors but somehow not launching a counter attack on the Emperor but come out of the shadows after his departure to then go back into the shadows to allow Rey to be the "beacon of light".
