Finally.
Today is May The Fourth, and that means legions of fans across the globe are celebrating Star Wars Day. We were hoping Lucasfilm might drop some new content from this iconic Galaxy Far, Far Away to mark the occasion, and it's now been confirmed that we're getting a new Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer!
We don't know the exact time it will be released, but expect to find it here the second it drops. With this likely to be the final trailer before the show arrives on Disney+, we're hoping Darth Vader will finally receive the spotlight, even if it's just to tease his long-awaited rematch with the Jedi Master.
Also below is a sponsored Twitter promo that showcases the Purge Troopers, a class of Stormtroopers that answers directly to the Sith Inquisitors (this scene appears to be inside their fortress).
Not too long ago, a new plot synopsis was revealed teasing the Jedi Master's battle with the Empire and a mission we believe will involve him leaving Tatooine to come to Princess Leia's rescue. "During the reign of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi embarks on a crucial mission," it reads. "Kenobi must confront allies turned enemies and face the wrath of the Empire."
Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie. The series is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold.
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ on May 27 with its first two episodes.
