It's no secret that Obi-Wan Kenobi will take its title character off Tatooine, with the prevailing theory being we'll see "Ben" Kenobi race into action in an effort to save the young Princess Leia.
This would leave Luke unprotected, of course, but the Jedi Master can't be everywhere at once! Now, Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com) has revealed some new intel about a sequence that takes place in a spice den on the planet Daiyu involving Obi-Wan and Leia's captors. There's a big fight there, but as he's undercover, Kenobi is unable to rush in and take care of those criminals with his trusty lightsaber.
Instead, he goes in covertly and takes down some guards by throwing Spice directly in the face of his attackers. They get high off the fumes, and are thereby unable to attack the unassuming Jedi. This sounds like a fun sequence, and from here, it's said the battle scene moves to the rooftops.
Obi-Wan Kenobi's story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining him and McGregor in the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on Disney+ with its first two episodes on May 27.
